So this weekend Marina plays Lollapalooza in Argentina. So ends the Neon Nature Tour and the FROOT era. And possibly Marina's music career. :(

Marina has been hinting since fall that she plans on leaving the music industry for a long long time.... In this latest interview go to the 1:30 mark. The interviewer asks her about her future music plans and her response is definitely not promising.... :(

I'm so depressed.....I love Marina more than anyone on here. Her leaving the music industry means more new music, no more interviews, no more performances, and none of us will ever see her live again.

This is as horrible as Trump winning the presidential election. :(

I hope that she's only considering taking a break and not completely stopping. She's just so damn talented, classy and real.

A career ended too soon. I love how conceptualized her albums were :(

she kinda had a point when said she has been nearly doing this for 10 years but you don't build all of this (fans, exposure, etc.) to be completely done...doesn't make sense to me

This is what happens when people turn 30

A lot of people take it as the time to say goodbye to their youth

Whaaaat. So it's true after all. Holy crap. Just no, no, no. :saladga:

I hope it is just a break.

After all she doesn't need to act like teenage popstar, she can explode into her 30s with more maturity.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

Yeah but not their career. :wtf: A TON of artists are around the same age (Gaga, Katy, Rihanna, Nicki, Lana) and their careers show no sign of slowing down. It's not like she's 60 and getting ready to retire..... :wtf:

She literally said she'll come back with something eventually. I get what she's saying about not wanting to be a pop star but it's not like she's this huge commercial success. She should get over herself a bit.

She can still make pop or pop oriented music that is mature. Does she know of the term adult pop? She did that exact thing with Froot, Lana did with Ultraviolence, etc.

She's so extra.

I'm not a huge fan, but it's her decision, not ours to make. We all know the industry is hard coming from a Gagz fan. I don't blame her. :noparty:

Stressed, depressed, but well dressed.

EXACTLY like she can be similar to Florence and the Machine. Not heavily exposed but still make wonderful music and enjoy herself and still be critically acclaimed. (and Florence turns 30 this year). It makes me wonder why she decided all of the sudden after FROOT to quit.
