I was just wondering if you guys ever remember certain times in your life or certain years and always look back at those in reference to what Gaga was also doing at that time. For example, if anyone tells me something happened in 2008, I think of The Fame and that gives me a better and easier timeframe to reflect back on something. Whenever I think of August 2013, I think of the Applause release and when I was on vacation listening to it for the first time. In this way, I can relate to how long ago things were or even how recent some years or events took place in reference to the present because I can recall milestones in Gaga's life and career better than other things that occurred in that same time period. Do you guys do the same? Do you have special memories that you equate to what Gaga was doing at that time in your life? Do you measure things in "Gaga time"? Or am I just insane? Discuss away! I used to measure the value of everything with cola bottles. Like a pizza was 5 cola bottles or I would say that I will babysit a nephew for the value of 10 bottles of cola. And that was the first day when Applause was released and I didn't hear it yet, and I was listening to the radio at some bar and they were introducing: "mm brand new single by Lady Gaga called Applause" and then they played some totally unrelated techno track. With Gaga I'd say I instantly think of BTW whenever Feb-May 2011 are brought up, and PRISM and Britney Jean and ARTPOP whenever late 2013 is brought up Then there are other things outside of music like moving house, moving schools, etc that I equate with a time period I've found It really helps put things into perspective Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
