I use to miss the "Old Gaga"...

Until 2014 and onwards.

During 2013 just after ARTPOP was released, I did not appreciate Gaga as much as I did/do now. I never felt the connection for the album compared to The Fame Monster and Born This Way - from the music, the outfits and overall, the relation to her. I sort of felt disconnected. However, this is not an ARTPOP thread so lets move on...

I always felt a special place in my heart (personally) for TFM and BTW like some of you do for ARTPOP. I guess during that time when Gaga was at her low, she lost her spark and it was very upsetting to see her fall apart.

But ever since C2C, I have understood the main reason why she has transitioned - to be a legend, to be remembered, rather than be portrayed by the media/general public as some "attention seeker". She done that by demonstrating her TRUE and RAW talent through performances such as the C2C tour, Grammy performances, Superbowl performance, and of course, the 2015 and 16 Oscars. Now I turned over that old page and welcome the "new and ever-evolving" Gaga that we will see from LG5 and on.

Just remember, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013 Gaga will always be the same girl

BRING ON LG5!

I feel the same way as you do. It was heart-breaking to see Gaga wasn't as confident in interviews during the ARTPOP era as the interviews she had during TFM/BTW era. The atmosphere during ARTPOP really choked me. As a fan, it was really hard to breathe and take all the mess in. But now I stop to think, if ARTPOP didn't happen, if all those horrible stuff didn't exist, would we still have the Gaga we have today ? I mean if not, what kind of Gaga is Lady Gaga would be in present time ?

I'm just glad she is happy again in her life. And in doing so, becoming an accomplished actress, celebrating her jazz roots, and creating incredible powerhouse performances that make you wish you could've been there. I feel like the whole world has been so hard on her.

There have been peaks and valleys for her, and there will be plenty more in the next decades, but the thing about Gaga is that, even at her """worst""", she still offers up more soul and exuberance to her performances and music than just about anyone.

She has the talent, the versatility, and the self-awareness to completely reinvent herself over and over and over again. How many international sensations can you say that about?

I really believe that LG5 will be her best album. It will have the fierceness of TFM, the social relevance of BTW, the vocals of C2C, the energy of TF and it will be a mature album to contrast the immaturity of ARTPOP. She has shown so many sides of her. LG5 will hopefully be the culmination of all of her best features.

Gaga is finally showing us her true potential. I feel like she's just getting started.

I really liked Gaga during ARTPOP. She was fed up with the industry and she played along with it while holding up the middle finger. Although I'm sad she was going through pain, it was nice to see her continue to believe in her music and image even though the media was backlash ing at her.

Im glad she found Bobby but I wish she would have had him during ARTPOP. It would have meant more freedom and strength with her team.

I feel like the ARTPOP era included her transformation these past two years as well. ARTPOP talks about the Phoenix coming from the ashes and that is what she is doing. The Phoenix taking flight is LG5 to me.

Currently listening to Joanne
