Scheiße, HML, Gov Hooker Venus& MANiCURE are great songs but TERRIBLE CHOICES for singles. Sexxx dreams, Fashion!, and other songs would be better received by the GP.

I see you don't like born this way....

Check out this remix, it's honestly so good, it takes the song to another level. Maybe it can help you like it a bit more

If this remix was the actual official song version of born this way I would love it and everyone would still love hearing it in 2016 honestly its up there with her greatest ever remixes. :)

Born this way chorus is a bit cheesy IMO. Also if the whole "born this way" concept didn't exist, I feel like MTN would be a better lead.

i love born this way era but I hate how it basically made her a LGBT icon and therefore made it embarrassing to like her as a straight person :/

i feel like Madonna fell out of popularity for similar reason

In OCD chronological order...

Just Dance is one of her most basic singles.

A lot of her fashion and looks back in TF days looked tacky and was a "lad's mag" idea of hot.

Bad Romance is not quite as good as I remember it back in the day (heard too many times, maybe?)

Telephone is the most basic single, so it annoys me how it's defined her career so much.

BTW (song) has a great message but is cheesy as hell and is ok at best.

I like Jewels N' Drugs.

ARTPOP (song) is good but not awesome.

G.U.Y is just ok, not amazing.

I'm so glad that Venus never became a proper single. It would have flopped and been forgotten.

I like ARTPOP (album) overall. Surprisingly after the stuff I just said, I know.

C2C was brilliant and was a great career move.

TIHTY has a great message and powerful emotion but is has some of the most most basic lyrics in existence (still annoyed she lost the Oscar even so because that performance alone was worthy of a win!)

I want her to continue exploring other genres and experimenting, not just pop.

Cheek To Cheek was a bad move. She should've showcased her vocals through special, one-off performances such as The Oscars, for example. An entire jazz album pushed her out of mainstream culture, and I think it's going to be difficult for her to fully regain where she once was. Yes, her vocals needed a platform, but an entire 'era' was so unnecessary and, I believe, very damaging, pop-culturally.

Stuff like this has been proven to help careers. It meant she had some sort of release to tide fans and the public over until LG5 which was clearly going to be a long way away. It's fairly frequent releases that keep artists relevant and too long a break can result in a failed comeback. Gaga is currently taking the Beyonce approach to a comeback - do a whole bunch of different projects that gets you back into the public eye and make people realise how amazing you are and once you're firmly back within the public's hearts, release the new album. I will argue that C2C helped Gaga more than not releasing it at all. Its sold near enough 1.1 million worldwide, including over 600k in the US (its approaching AP's US sales). It had a small tour that still pulled in over $15 million (it's more than that, we don't know the official figure). It also won a Grammy and the special got nominated for an Emmy. She wouldn't have made that money, sales, or won those accolades without it. We wouldn't have had all those promo performances either, keeping her name out there. Some select songs with Tony would have made no sense for they would have no context and would be totally random and fans (and maybe some of the surprised public) would be clamouring for these performances to be put down on a recording so that they could buy it. So, an album made perfect sense. The pop world won't care what she released beforehand because it wasn't in the pop sphere. Plenty of artists still get hits after deviating from the norm. Xtina released a Spanish album in 2000 that flopped but she went on to have the highly successful Stripped album 2 years later. J Lo released a Spanish album in 2007 that flopped but she went on to have a big comeback 4 years later with On The Floor. Rihanna went through a dark and serious image and sound revamp with Rated R that was a rocky era but she came back with the hugely successful Loud the very next year. When Gaga releases new material from a studio release, the public will be here for it, don't worry.

Yes. This. Saying that she was wearing a meat dress against animals being killed (or something like that, I don't remember very well) sounded so stupid. She could have worn idk, a lettuce dress if she wanted to use that explanation

The dress was an extension of her speech, The Prime Rib of America. In a nutshell she said if we don't stand up for what we believe [repealing Don't Ask, Don't Tell] then we're worth no more than the 'meat' on our bones. It had nothing to do with animal rights whatsoever.

BR/TFM are overrated and only praised because it was successful and monsters are shallow.

ARTPOP is fantastic and only hated because it underperformed relative to her past hits. Monsters trash the album and it's apparent lack of success because... they are shallow.

BTW is cheesy, dated and messy.

I love DJWS.

How is this an unpopular opinion

People say Telephone is generic and that Bad Romance is the most overrated song, when it's actually one of her best (they're just in denial)

People say R. Kelly ruined DWUW and that Sex Dreams/Aura are better and should have replaced Applause as lead.

Unpopular opinion: I'm ok with the album taking its time. I love c2c and all the Jazz collab. I could are less if she smokes pot or has children. I enjoy ARTPOP. I do not really care for Brooklyn nights and NOBTR. I loved ActressGa .... I say take your time, have fun and be happy.

Brooklyn Nights to me is a cheesy version of Marry the Night and I'm glad it was never released. Its her only song I honestly can't stand.

I love pretty much everything about the Cheek to cheek era and would love more jazz in the future. (but first some hot ass pop)

I want her to take her time for LG5.

I would love to hear the raw rock vibe her live shows have on a record.

Wouldn't mind if she cuts Telephone from the set list on tour.

Some of the songs that didn't make The Fame are some of the best she's written.

ARTPOP is my least fav album by her and this has absolutely nothing to do with sales and stuff. I just don't feel like listening to it in full as much as I do her other albums, even C2C. It just doesn't speak to me as much as a whole I guess

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch
