malazam 15,710
Still salty about Adele winning AOTY in 2012, so the answer is: yes another shot before we kiss the other side
JackTheTripper 866
Sam won the trophy, but Gag won the Oscars, and everyone the day after, and speaking about meaning of Oscar, somebody like Jared Leto , J. Lawrence, or Matthew Mcconaughey won, whilist people like Glenn Close, Joquin Phoenix , Gary Oldman, Ralph Fiennes, Edwrd Norton, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter newer did speaks enough

Shipper 13,078
I remember that day when Gaga lost her Oscars to Sam Smith. Meltdowns left and right. Some were saying I told you so's some were threatening to log off Gagadaily for a while, some were complaining through threads. Ah, those were the days when we didn't have microchips in our arms. 🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶
eifulien 2,956
No and never was. Yes I believe Gaga deserved it and was genuinely surprised she didn't win (quite ironic cause I was also genuinely surprised at the GG for the opposite reason) But guys, it wasn't Sam Smith's fault so why feel salty. Some of you can be astounding. Someone make a thread about Bowie's son and the tribute at the Grammys cause we haven't mentioned in 3 weeks how "salty" we are. To be honest, the lesson for all of us should be that just like the Grammys, the Academy Awards aren't always fair and that doesn't take away from Gaga's talent. As long as we cherish on her accomplishments I don't think we should be salty, sour, bitter and what not.
Bad Bromance 5,809
I was very upset at first, tbh. The idea that Gaga would become an Academy Award winner is something that really resonates. I'm happy that Sam Smith won, but I'm very upset that a very important song such as TIHTY didn't win the nomination. C'est la vie! I don't care what you think about unless it is about me. LoveandMagic 1,731
Honestly, no. I felt she deserved that award, but I wasn't on the voting committee. I have to accept the decision and move on (which I have). Winning an award for the song wasn't why it was created. I know Gaga and Diane wanted it, and worked hard to convince others that they deserved it, but at the end of the day it really didn't matter. The publicity for the song was very good and Gaga put out an amazing performance. I'm sure she saw the silver lining of the whole thing and while I'm sure she wishes Diane would have gotten that official recognition from the voting collective, I doubt that Gaga herself is the least bit bitter about the experience. There will be chances for other awards like this. She did her absolute best and came out swimmingly. Spreading the message was the most important part of it all anyway, so mission accomplished. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
Frankenztein 1,172
I feel that Gaga and Diane deserved to win for the message and effort put in, but honestly I don't think the songwriting was that good. It was still better then Sam's song though. Honestly I feel the Manta Ray song should have won if we are judging on pure quality.

hELXIG 43,030
Never was. There's literally no reason to have anything against him. I'm still pissed at the academy for voting wrongly. I'm still sad for Gaga for having worked so hard and not won. But there was never any reason to target Sam. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. STDMNC 368
I got over it when Dustin discovered the messages (by an unknown tip; I see you, Gaga ) between him and Tom Daley and when he made an ass of himself on more than one case after he won the Oscar.
