Why didn't the song receive airplay?

Wasn't she banned from being played after American Life?

She had countless hits after American Life. Ghosttown completely flopped.

It seems like everyone generally agrees that RH deserved to be more successful. It was a good album.

Its one of my top five Madonna albums!! Rebel Heart is severely underrated

I was surprised. I thought MDNA was garbage. Rebel Heart is actually good, but why wasn't Iconic the lead single with an explosive video and performance? The era was handled awfully.

A tasteless song from a lifeless album. Deserved to flop.

(Ageism plays a huge role, yes).

She doesn't kiss their ass and she's struggled to get AirPlay after the American Life era (with a couple exceptions).

:air: what do you think about Joan Of Arc?

Horrible album but I can agree with you about Joan of Arc.  For me, that was the stand out track from the album.

Devil Pray is legendary! I love the chorus! RH is a good album but the era is so darn short. :air: I'm already parched for new music.

Its true though :duck: Her American popularity ended after that amazing album; even the biggest 'hater' will admit that.

not because of any "controversy" but because the lead single flopped (everywhere) and she was going from one embarrassment into another to try and fix the situation ("Me Against the Music", the awful "Gap" commercial and a ton of other stuff)

But that was 13 years ago, wouldn't people forget about it and move on?
