Thos is GAGADaily and it's a thread about Madonna. I think i can talk about Gaga on GagaDaily even if it's a thread about another artist. I'm a monster and i love Madonna so that's not a problem for me. And it shouldn't be a problem because i haven't talked bad about both.

You're the one that mentioned the fan base wars I was just saying that it can make things worse by bringing in another artist when it has nothing to do with them even if you didn't say anything bad.  Just saying.

All the people you named are not pop stars and they are all males. They were never known for dancing their ass off.

I agree that she is probably never going to do Vegas but she doesn't have more stamina than most young pop stars. Her dancing is less complex now and even her posture has changed. I just hope she and her loyal fans are mature enough to accept that the human body changes with the time and aging is a natural process that can't be stopped. The GP won't understand that and they will just stop going to her shows but hopefully her fans will stay loyal even when she isn't capable to do the things she is famous for.

Didn't I say in my post that she would do less dancing? No one expects her to keep that up forever. People would still flock to see her shows because they love her and his discography and she would incorporate the theatrics in a more toned down way.  Again those guys are older, but Mick Jagger they say by the end of the night has covered lots of miles on stage.  And McCartney is doing a three-hour show, when younger band are only doing 90 minutes.

Cher at 67 on tour.

At least the people who are in Vegas show up on time to their concerts :gaycat: plus with Britney, it's worked wonders for her.

Well you don't have to mount and take out the stage every day and travel with it, you can have problems with screens, management, crew, lights etc while in a residency everything just stays there (I'm not being bitter just to make sure)

Her fans' bodies change too haha 80% of the people at my RH show were +40 y/o so i guess they will go to her shows forever

I don't necessarily agree with what she's implying, but I get why she might not want to do a LV residency...she might piss off a lot of ppl with this comment, though...ppl with a sharp tongue, I should add :laughga:

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

Cher was never known for doing extreme choreography or scandalous sexual activities on stage. Cher has been doing the same thing since the beginning of her career. It's just not the same.

If older artists last longer than younger artists it's not because they can do more, it's because younger artists are lazy or don't want to do more.

The GP is going to drop her, most of it has already dropped her already. Her fans are going to maintain her career alive. It's not a bad thing, unless her fans or her make it a bad thing.

I don't consider The Drowned World Tour, Re-Invention Tour, or Confessions Tour to have any kind of scandalous sexual activities on stage. and they are my favorite shows. As long as Madonna's voice holds up, with her beloved discography and flair for the dramatic she can reinvent herself concertwise any way she wants without big dance numbers.  Her days of selling lots of albums are over, but not touring.

Example of dramatic and great choreography with the dancers and Madonna not dancing.

And the Deeper and Deeper choreography for the dancers is amazing and Madonna is doing a lighter version of the choreography on the Rebel Hear Tour.  She can pull this stuff off for years.

Her genius is she really puts together a fantastic show from concept to dancer choreography, etc.  She doesn't have to be doing Blonde Ambition era dancing to still be mesmerizing on stage and let her dancers do the heavy lifting as far as great dance choreography.  It's still then a great pop spectacle.

Um, a 57 year old woman, a billionare, with 14 records out, 33 years of career behind and still enjoying being on tour for almost a year. Singing live and dancing for more than 2 hours (yes, she sings everything, someone recorfed her mic feed in Japan). You should show some respect. I love Britney, but she doesn't sing at all, she doesn't tour since 2012 because it's easier for the company to make a residency show and maybe she wouldn't even sell out a worldwide tour. Madonna did today a special FREE show for 1500 fans in Australia because the last time she went there was in 1993. The show was called "Tears Of A Clown". Her son Rocco is now living with his dad in the UK and she's been the last weeks kind of depressed. She wanted to do something acustic and simplistic with songs that represent the moment she's living now. Show respect please if you ever want others to respect Gaga. Madonna could give everything up whenever she wants because she has already done everything.

1. Madonna even discussed in the show how people say 'you've done everything' and she made it clear she has more to give.

2. The show wasn't simply based on the whole Rocco situation, it was for Australian fans as we've been waiting 23 years. That's what TOAC was for, not Rocco.

I know, it was just to explain a little bit of her situation right now. But I think she called the show "Tears Of A Clown" because she is not feeling pretty well. And it's not that she sang Intervention or Xstatic Process with a picture of Rocco behind her because she hasn't been in AUS for 23 years

The show in general was for Aus fans - she just had a few songs that were dedicated to Rocco.

I may be reaching but I feel like she isn't against a residency, but against Vegas itself. Which I understand, I mean, Vegas is really not her thing.

But if somebody offered to her a 2 year residency at the MSG in New York, or the O2 in London (MJ was going to do it), she would give it a thought. Those cities kinda fit her.

I agree. I can't see Madonna in Vegas, but she would do great in New York with all the tourists coming to the Big Apple.

I fell down the stairs once as an actor.

Madonna is NOT human. She will never age!!!!! I refuse to believe that she will reach a point where she stops dancing or wearing slutty clothes.

Not really. The Vegas shows are aimed at people living the Vegas lifestyle for their visit, hence why it's "big" names performing. It's more about being in Vegas and seeing a show, than actually seeing that artist.

It's part of the go big or go home idea, it's the glamour etc.
