To do world tour one artist mostly need at least new material of songs to boost the album sale. Unless they are legendary enough to do one without. For residency they just do their old hits and whatever else, performing for tourists visiting Vegas. Her days of selling lots of albums are over, but not touring. Example of dramatic and great choreography with the dancers and Madonna not dancing. And the Deeper and Deeper choreography for the dancers is amazing and Madonna is doing a lighter version of the choreography on the Rebel Hear Tour. She can pull this stuff off for years. Her genius is she really puts together a fantastic show from concept to dancer choreography, etc. She doesn't have to be doing Blonde Ambition era dancing to still be mesmerizing on stage and let her dancers do the heavy lifting as far as great dance choreography. It's still then a great pop spectacle. I still think that what you think it's not a hard routine is quite hard for any elderly person, mostly because TOURING is tiring and stressful. In my opinion pop fans don't realize that aging is inevitable and things have to change drastically some day. I don't expect Gaga to continue being the big pop star forever, if she wants to retire to rise her family I won't be mad or say that she doesn't care about the people who made her like many other have suggested in this thread. But I can understand why someone like Madonna would never do it. There's no need to bash no one, Madonna din't shade anyone, she just said she would'nt do it. When you don't like potatoes and express your dislike for them, it's not like you're bashing people who like potatoes.
