That originally there were multiple sets built, dancers, an actual storyline etc, and that there was some chaos onset, people weren't agreeing creatively, they were running out of time, and she said f*ck it, roll the cameras, we're doing this in one shot, and only used the one set. Apparently a lot of people were pissed off because they'd spent a lot of time rehearsing and building sets. Also, I had no idea you could literally see the studio in the video omg now I will never be able to unsee that. Yeah, it was originally the mermaid theme directed by Kahn until he acted like an ass and left the project. The only things I've noticed is an odd bend when the camera pans in the structure Gaga dances under (the thing covered in flowers on each leg) Poor lighting in the Venus section. They used natural light without using any scrims so the lighting during all of that scene looks low budget despite it being a high-budget video Also, they edited out the person emerging from the third coffin... I can't remember why Who do you think the third person would have been? I've always wondered that. She has Jesus, Ghandi and Michael Jackson. And the intent is to extract their blood/DNA and merge them together to create the perfect GUY. But who would that fourth have been?... myOWNtable 182 Posted March 11, 2016 Share Posted March 11, 2016 I think we've all noticed the duplicate shot in GUY when Gaga descends the staircase carried by the dancers (during Venus). It's such an awkward edit and you can even see the camera crew's shadows...twice! In applause, there is a nasty jump cut ... I doubt this was intentional! Helps emphasize the beat, though..
