I hope his wife stops being sexy.

I'm sure he's disgusted by it

"Increasingly grotesque  and embarrassing", like your bizarre obsession with Madonna, Piers?

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

He just knows lots of people want to hear someone say that out loud. Someone who isn't me thought those exact things.

What a "revolutionary" thought you both have :awkney:

He definitely has been looking. I wasn't even aware of Kim's or fam's pics nor do I care. Why doesn't he shut up? He acts as if his views are the consensus when he only speaks for his smug self.

Do your own research.

Incredibly sexist and ageist. Then again, it is Piers Morgan. Good lord I hope no one takes him seriously.

I wonder if he'll mention to Sean Connery and the countless other older-male "sex symbol" icons that they're too old to keep their batons.

I wouldn't say it's the same thing, tho.... Men in showbiz rarely use the same methods and techniques that made them famous when they were young, they move on to a more mature image.

You don't see Sean Connery posing shirtless, or taking roles of 30-year old studs.... you don't see George Clooney taking roles of a hunk on a motorcycle... he plays a dad, a senator, an older business man, a lawyer..

My point it that men who are sex symbols move on from the immature image that made them famous and portray a different type of sexy... whereas women who are/were sex symbols mostly try to be a copy of their young selves.

And women who go for a more mature sexiness are never slammed by the media, but those who can't get over their past image really do become a joke.

I see what you're saying, and I think to some degree its true, but there are already different standards as to what male sex icons do vs female sex icons do at any age. And I truly appreciate an older beautiful woman who is reserved.

As for males being older in sexualized roles: Matthew McConaughey in Magic Mike movies at 46. A woman at 46 would likely not have been cast in a female version of the shows premise.

Pretty sure J Lo could be cast as the owner of a strip club who also happens to strip occasionally.

But she wouldn't be the 19 year old kid who comes into the stripping world young and naive. And that's the role Madonna would want, let's be honest.

Its not true Piers. To me its a very old-fashioned way of thinking to have to give up (at 35!? in Kim's case?!) so the younger generation can take centre stage.

I'm not a Madonna fan anymore but I admire her kick ass attitude. If she wants to hit that stage and put on a show at 80 years old, I'm not gonna stop her.

I wonder Pierce says the same about The Rolling Stones, Springsteen, Sting, Iggy Pop...I could go on and on.

I'm no Kim fan either but she looks mighty fine and she can show it off how and whenever she wants. This has nothing to do with her age or her ability to be a good mother.

And if he truly believes this, that the next generations should take over, why is even sharing his opinion still and not enjoying retirement himself?

Also bear in mind that women don't often get hired in Hollywood when they age. You either stay looking young and sexy or get out of the way for the next young thing they'll pay to be the 40-something-male's love interest.

Example: http://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/may/21/maggie-gyllenhaal-too-old-hollywood

When you start looking you do notice a number of films where they cast a young woman to be in a relationship with a man at least a decade older than her.

Men in showbiz rarely use the same methods because they are aware that they don't need to keep up like that to have a better shot at maintaining their career. As men age they're allowed to be considered "sexy," as women do they are not.

EDIT: That being said, I do appreciate women who age and embrace their age. Peoples' fascination and constant reaching for youth is troublesome, imo. I wish we didn't view showing our age as a bad thing- everyone gets older, it's not something horrible.
