It's not like it's played on radio and tv everywhere you go and you can't avoid it? Just try to take your mind of of it, listen to other music by gaga or other artists. I'm not a huge TIHTY fan in the sense that I love seeing her performing it because it means so much to her and many, but the song itself simply doesn't speak to me. So I just never play it. You are entitled to your opinion, and your opinion regarding the song is actually more informed and more relevant to the topic than the opinions of those of us who have never experienced what the lyrics are standing up against. Just remember that, from a fan perspective, Gaga doing promo for this song keeps her in the public eye so she's more visible when she does finally release something from LG5. Being selfish isn't inherently bad. Selfishness is only really "bad" when it happens at the expense of another person. So you simply wanting this TIHTY stuff to be over because it brings up negative memories and feelings? That doesn't hurt anyone, take anything away from anyone, or prevent anyone from having what they want, so it's not a bad thing to be selfish about. What I'm trying to say it's that you should not be annoyed because the song already helped you and now you don't want anything to do with it, I assure you that's not the case with other people and I'm glad Gaga wants to reach the biggest audience possible. It's honestly not that hard to simply avoid everything that has to do with the song, there are plenty of threads you can read and post that don't mention the song at all, but you go into every one that actually has TIHTY in the title and post that you are annoyed by the it, there's no one to blame for that, just yourself.
