Yes I remember when MOST of today's music was too electronic for me haha. My tastes have really changed over the past few years. Like, I definitely heard "Spending All My Time" closer to when it came out and was probably like "what is this repetitive synthetic nonsense" Though in fairness the electronic music I hated was the kind that wasn't melodic, just synth-heavy garbage like what plays in American clubs. The chorus is what matters most to me: if it has a catchy chorus with a nice melody, I'll give it a chance regardless of the instrumental.
