Time to take TIHTY seriously now... I guess

Gaga's recent actions have proved we should send take the song a lot more seriously now. Like-potentially being on LG5 serious. She's thrown out all my conceptions of it being just a single to nothing out the window now.

Ofc, she performed it the Oscars, and it was amazing, but with its rise to the top 8 on iTunes in its biggest market and Gaga (writing an entire letter) and Interscope now sending it to popular radio, it has the potential of becoming a hit song. If it is a hit single, it could end up on LG5. The same thing happened with Ellie Goulding - LMLYD (now on Delirium) and The Weeknd - Earned It (now on BBTM). I initially didn't want it on LG5 bc I feel it'd bc the same thing as putting Cake on ARTPOP-it just wasn't Born That Way (*wink*), but I don't think that will happen now lol.

If it's on LG5, do we consider it the lead single or just a buzz single… that isn't even buzzing LG5?

It will not be on LG5 bookmark me.

It's not gonna be on LG5 unless it's a massive hit but it won't be. She just wants to get the message out, she is really feeling it right now.

I feel indifferent about this, I guess. Just because she wants it pushed on the radios doesn't necessarily mean it'll be on LG5, or so I think.

I doubt it'll be on the album. I don't think it'll be a hit either. I'm more than happy to be proved wrong on that last one though.

BUT if it is on LG5 I won't be too mad unless it's a bonus track on a deluxe or something. I don't want it tacked in the middle somewhere just for the sake of it. It's an extremely personal song with a very specific meaning and background, so if the rest of the album is about how love she is and *~.havin fun.~* FOR EXAMPLE, then it would be completely inappropriate and pointless. If it fits though, then so be it.

I'd need it to be mixed and mastered again before it made it onto an album though :wtf:

Even if it was on lg5 (which I doubt it will be) it wouldn't be the lead single. For instance, with "Love Me Like You Do" it is on Delirium but it is not the lead single because it is was promoted as part of a different album.

I feel like it'll be a deluxe track. How i see it is, it's separate single, but it will appear on LG5. But likely it won't appear, if it doesn't its an extra new song. She might release it as a target bonus track or something.

Also, Cake should've been on ARTPOP. No doubt in my mind. She went all out on everything else, she should've at least added the rap song of the century onto it.

I'll be okay with it being on the album as long as it is an extra single and all the original tracks that were originally there remain there. I won't be here for it if it replaces a track.

I Met Lady Gaga On February 7th, 2016; Attended Superbowl 51 and Coachella 2017.

I would be surprised if it ends up on LG5.

If the label pushed for it to be on there due to success (which is unlikely) and she didn't want it on there, she may refuse. If she can.

But... If she thinks putting it on the album would give the topic more exposure (which it would..) then I could see her doing it.

The question is, does she even have rights to the song? I mean, it could belong to the movie, and it is arguably more than 50% Diane's track. If Gaga wanted it on LG5, would she even be able to do so legally?

It would be a boost for Diane and the movie, so they would probably give permission.

I live outside the space time continuum.
