gummybear 150
Name the defining female pop star of each year in the last decade or so. My list would be the following (I start from 2004, because that's when I started to follow music industry with curious eyes). 2004: Britney 2005: Gwen 2006: Nelly Furtado 2007: Rihanna 2008: Britney 2009: Lady Gaga 2010: Lady Gaga 2011: Adele 2012: Nicki Minaj 2013: Miley Cyrus 2014: Taylor Swift 2015: Adele 2016: Rihanna (so far) Only my opinion, interested in yours. Her only success is work going #1 well what would be your choice then? she has a number 1 album and a number 1 lead single now for the year, her tour is about to start (being as messy as it is) and she is all over the place. Harry 26,836
I'd be tempted to say Fergie for 2006, I feel like her era was bigger than Nelly's although I remember she released her album closer to the end of the year.

MGC 226
Agree with the OP, but I'd add Beyoncè for 2014 in tie with Katy Perry

Guest
I think Adele and Taylor both dominated 2015 equally, but other than that I agree with your list.
