OH ****. I was not expecting a win, but I'm still disappointed... But after all Gaga gave an AMAZING performance of the song and an important issue was highlighted.

She lost, but the performance was good, and take the matter to a very wide audience. The song is back in the charts also, not bad for a song that didn't won.

I was so pissed about the song losing. So, so pissed.

But watching that performance makes up for it. It shook me to my core for various reasons, and no Oscar (despite the advantage of publicizing the issue more) would accentuate more the respect I have for Gaga, Warren, and the individuals who have participated in this campaign.

3 points in and ready for more

Well technically he's stated he used to visit the site multiple times a day so he actually could.

If I got famous and won an award over Gaga, you better believe I'd be running back here to see you all dragging me to filth. :gaycat:

I'm not that mad Gaga lost as I'm mad Writings on the Wall won the Oscar as I hated the song since the first time I heard it. It is the worst Bond theme ever, second only to Madonna's Die Another Day!

She got an award she did not deserve and she lost the the one she totally did. Karma is a bitch.

Was disappointed that Gaga didn't win. She (and Diane, especially) deserved the Oscar this year. Their song wasn't attached to a big-budget film or anything, and it's message has really resonated with people on a global scale. The power and impact of the message is why this song has ultimately been a success for Gaga and Warren.

Not to say Sam Smith is any less deserving; he's so amazing. I think TIHTY is a more powerful song though next to all the songs that were nominated.

Enough with the bitterness though. It's so gross.

It could have been worse, she didn't get nominated and let's not forget See You Again got snubbed.

God you guys are bitter! Its not like The biggest travesty ever, 'cause c'mon its not like TIHTY is The master piece of The century as a composition (well neither is Writing on The wall). I would be more proud IF Gaga wins an Oscar for her own song and a great one.
