I haven read what she said. Just the OP. I don't know whats the Oscars policy, but as far as I know with other award shows not every nominee performs, bit many still attend. And don't talk like you know her, this could be pure PR. She obviously knows she's not winning so she might as well get what she can from this. I'm sure they're not doing it just to piss her off. The ceremony is always too long so it makes sense to cut a few songs nobody knows about. It's not cool I guess, but the show is about the movies anyway.

1) Read the letter, then talk

2) Yes, she was endorsed by Lou Reed, so yes, I knew her.

3) This the Oscars, not the Grammys. The policy for the performers is different. It seems weird that they ask two other non nominee performers to perform, but not two of the nominees.

I am just advocating for someone whose song is very worthy of being performed.

When I said "know her" I meant know her personally/her motives, not know who she is. I'm guessing they're doing it for the ratings idk? I already agreed it's not cool but what's done is done, so yeah...

It's not like she was going to win anyways + those types of performances by unknowns drag the show down and makes it boring. It sucks but it's just he way it is so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

who will love me when the night is over

Without a doubt The absolutely best song of The nominees and from musical & lyrical stand point should easily win but oh well, talent doesnt matter... As a composition The others don't even compare.

Here"s The song IF someone hasn't heard it.

That's ridiculous and the academy is worse off for it.

too bad it's too late to do something about it, would have loved to see her perform

As much as this is an advantage to Gaga, The Weeknd and Sam Smith, I think it's unfair to not even invite the other nominees to perform. It's like boycotting them because they are not as commercial as the three pop stars aforementioned. Also it kinda reduces the chances of them winning.

I feel like I would be upset about that, too. It seems pretty obvious that they won't give the award to the songs that aren't performing then

Be respectful, she's not an 'it' :wtf:

Gosh I mean it with the best of the intentions. I didn't notice she was a woman until someone said it to me. Sorry for the misunderstanding :nick:
