    • no, she's seen as an untalented and generic fluke who ruined pop music and is now forgotten

I mean it was an interesting discussion but I also got the feeling that you made this thread to have a few britney haters make fun of her but it backfired since most gaga fans adore britney and most of the britney hate comments in this thread come from ShockPop who I cant take seriously since he supports Dr Luke and Donald Trump. Britney likes Gaga and Gaga will always love Britney.

what would give you that idea? lmao bye

ask @Baby Blue, i've advocated for britney several times in this very thread. read a little more closely.

Obviously no. Well she has had some bad recent eras  so that's understandable, but regardlessly of her sound, she still knows how to perform and put on a good show. Britney and P!nk will always be my favorite popstars of the 2000s

Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko

Her albums and songs from her earlier stuff are respected.

I'm also sure that the people at Food Network respect her Instagram and taste in corn:awkney:

Nowadays its depressing because she doesn't even look like a human. She literally looks like Track 1 on Britney Jean, an Alien.

. Saying she doesn't deserve respect is disgusting. How dare you? You don't know her, you can't wish ill upon anyone ever but ESPECIALLY not on someone who you don't know and who hasn't done anything to hurt someone else. People DROVE her to madness, how can you not see that?

Couldn't agree more :applause:

It's ridiculous how some people here are bashing her left and right , saying she doesn't deserve respect is ridiculous ...

She's an Icon .. a pop culture legend .. she'll be always remembered as a revolutionist in pop music, saying that she is not respected is bullshit .. I'm from India , and people really like her .. she's a household name. Internationally , I'm sure she's respected and well known for her catchy pop music and fantastic videos/choreo. Period

She went through a lot and managed to bounce back from everything. She genuinely seems like a very nice person to me, what's not to respect?

I love this. You're one of the only people to think about respecting her as a PERSON, not just as a pop singer. :)

I like and respect her as a performer and a person. I never was a stan of hers, but I grew up listening to her and always liked her. She seems like a really nice person to me. Maybe a little rough on the edges in terms of possibly having anxiety(it seems? Which is understandable at the very least. I have severe anxiety and I understand it), but everyone is at least a bit rough on the edges. I don't think a lot of the GP respects her simply because of pop music and the lip syncing. Which okay, I don't agree with lip syncing ever and I definitely don't respect it, but I don't think she deserves the hate she gets sometimes.

No. Not in the slightest. She is a long running joke in the industry.

What is there to respect her for? She used to be an ok (but not good) dancer? Her management chose good songs sometimes? The person that Sings in her albums doesn't suck as much as she does?

She had a breakdown that was 80% her own dumb fault? She is an icon of all that's wrong with the music industry?

Failing to see any positives.

Britney ****ing Spears is the second most iconic female performer off all time behind Madonna.

6 #1 albums. Tons of iconic songs - Baby One More Time, (You Drive Me) Crazy!, Sometimes, Born to Make You Happy, Oops!... I Did It Again, Stronger, Lucky, Slave, Boys, Me Against the Music, Toxic, Everytime, Gimme More, Piece of Me, Break the Ice, Radar, Womanizer, Circus, If U Seek Amy, Hold It Against Me, Till the World Ends, I Wanna Go, Work Bitch plus many more.

Best selling teen album of all time. One of the best selling female artists of all time. Currently queen of Vegas. New shows have been added due to demand. MC and JLo are now following into the steps of Britney and are doing their own residency shows - something uncommon for pop stars till that moment.

Center of media attention fro 2003 to 2008. Followed by thousand of cameras. Recovered from two breakdowns one in 2007 and one in 2011.

Improved her performance abilities and is preparing a new era promising to accomplish everything Britney Jean couldn't.

Influenced every major pop girl today including Gaga. Changed pop culture forever. Undeniable pop phenomenom 18 years into her career.

Respected by legends. Her songs are still played regularly around the world and people love them.

Do I need to continue?
