    • no, she's seen as an untalented and generic fluke who ruined pop music and is now forgotten

Do you know why that pressure was on her? Yes, the media is crazy, but when you constantly act out because you're off your tits on crack it makes it easier for them.

When you're off your tits on crack and have a kid to look after, you're getting the negative response you've brought upon yourself.

Read a headline "crack addict mother accidentally kills child" that easily could have been the situation. She quit drugs but shaved her head so they couldn't trace past use. She did not face the consequences of her actions.

A non famous crack addict is a bad parent. A famous crack addict is still a bad parent.

She is not a crack addict anymore

Do I have to repeat this again and again?

She has done some mistakes in her past, but she did prove herself that she was capable of winning them back

Know that even Gaga did several mistakes in her past, but is it right to judge her now for it too?

I didn't say she was still a crack addict. Your reading skills are letting you down again.

She did what she did and everyone knows why. If she hadn't, the media wouldn't have joined her on the crazy train.

Since then, she hasn't done a single thing as a singer or dancer or performer to redeem herself. If Britney spears post-In the zone is supposed to be something to be proud of, then standards must be very low.

her career is in no correlation to her personal life

what does her album sales and impact have to do with her children?

You're making no sense.

Her general quality of output has been dire, her performances have been awful. The breakdown ruined her, but limping on, she's continued to puke out albums.

Her sales don't matter much to me but they're a good indicator of how well she does as a performer. She isn't an artist, so sales are all she has.

Dubstep was a thing before skrillex. I was enduring Australian djs killing my ears with it in 2009. It was oddly popular.

Not a big fan of her music but Britney seem like a genuine nice person & I admire her innocence; but no I wouldn't say she's respected.

All this Britney hate . I personally think she is respected by most of the GP and the industry. It's crazy to see how many people get so excited when a hit by Britney comes on in public. I remember Toxic came on in a coffee shop at my college and legit people were dancing. I think why people like her so much is that she is relatable, kind and down to Earth. I've never read a story about her being a diva or being late to a show. The media (for the most part) wants her to do good. After her meltdown and she came back, even though it wasn't up to par with her in her prime, most people just were happy to see that she was healthy and not looking like she was on the verge of suicide and in the back of ambulances. I've also seen numerous celebs talk highly of Britney: Miley, Selena, P!nk, Nicole Richie, Madonna, and Ke$ha are a few examples. And her dancing, OH MY GOD. At her prime she was amazing. Anyone that can't see that, I am truly sorry. I have showed causal Britney listeners some of her performances and even they can't deny she was a great performer.

Get real. Her dancing has never been good enough to make her a dancer. Idgaf who invited her where, she was a headline magnet. That's how the industry works.

You seem completely taken in by the marketing team behind her, and honestly, you'll grow up one day and wonder what the hell you were thinking.

Don't come at me like I don't know what she sounded like as a child, or what triggered her breakdown or what critics thought of her albums.

Her singing before BOMT was crap. Nothing to write home about.

Her breakdown was because she was backed into a corner and about to lose her kid.

What critics think of her albums doesn't matter, she isn't even the vocalist on some tracks.

She has always been a fake and a waste of time.

i'm a little worried that you feel the obligation to tell people how to spend their time :wtf:

I'm worried that our future leaders, teachers, police officers, doctors etc are choosing to spend their time supporting a rich puppet of record labels who has no redeeming qualities. That's a huge indicator that these people have poor decision making skills.

No it isn't.

It's like saying kids shouldn't eat heavily processed junk food with no nutritional value.
