ShockPop 7,747
This is the end of Dr Luke. Even if nothing legally is proven, the support in the industry speaks for itself. These people all know something more than they're saying. There is no coming back from this.

For me the case isn't about "is he a rapist or not?", it's about an artist that feels uncomfortable working with this certain producer (whatever the reason is), all she wanted is to be set free from her contract and he made her go through hell for it, and now she's unable to release new music when it's her main income; that's vile & evil. But that's why contracts exist. Imagine anyone feeling like cancelling a contract and being able to do so. That would be disastrous.
2007 5,291
Just now, Black Salvatore said: But that's why contracts exist. Imagine anyone feeling like cancelling a contract and being able to so. That would be disastrous. But she doesn't want to terminate the contract just because she feels like it, she was harassed, he continuously mocked her artistically and insulted her body image which was the reason she checked into rehab, and the sexual assault is just the cherry on top. Luke doesn't seem like the nicest person either since a lot of artists had gone through such incidents with him, kesha was his puppet so no wonder why she suffered the most. It creates an inbalance. Contracts are meant to help both parties out, not hold each other hostage. You know in some countries, legally, you get a grace period in which you can still terminate a contract without backlash (and honestly similar laws need to be implemented here in the states).
