Will the Dr. Luke vs. Kesha case affect radio?

Do you think when this is over and either Kesha wins or her career is effectively destroyed, will it influence radio from playing the countless hits from Dr. Luke or any new songs?

I don't think so tbh, Dr. Luke is a just a producer, people don't know producers. They won't be like "oh, this song is produced by Dr. Luke, byeeee".

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

I agree the average joe won't care, but the social justice warriors could put pressure on the stations from airing his songs

Well, radio stations only care about money and audience so if the pressure is more numbered than the requests, they might do it

But artists inside the music industry would think twice before getting their album produced by an alleged rapist.

OT: perhaps listeners won't be the only factor, but also other producers, singers and artists will take this into consideration.

Yeah but I think the OP is talking about the songs he already made

Yeah if I was an artist I would avoid him even if he was found not guilty in the future, it's already hard selling records these days and then having ties with an alleged rapist isn't attractive.

I had past and future releases in mind when writing the OP, I forgot to communicate that lol. :)

I don't think so...radio stations don't play "the Dr. Luke song", they play "that Katy Perry hit"...get it? And I don't think people will refuse to work with him either, even after this, because, say what you will, he has a slew of hits on his side...

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

LOL, that's what I'm trying to say XD Radios and the audience don't think of his songs as his, bc there's always some other artist being the face of that song, promoting it and selling it (like Katy, in the example I gave). So I don't think radios will stop playing the stuff he already released...

As for his future work, again, I don't think ppl will avoid working with him because of what's going on...so not even in that way I think he'll be affected.
