Anyone have a link that's not blocked in the US?

The one I listened to before was louder, but it was taken off.  But this one works. The sound is a little more muted, at least on my computer. There is a speaking tribute that preceded  this by Annie Lennox and Gary Oldman that's on YouTube..  It was sweet how choked up Lorde was after she finished.

I think the real difference between the two tributes is that Gaga celebrated David Bowie the icon and The Brits/Lorde put together a memorial for David Bowie the man/artist. Which one you prefer is really going to boil down to which David moved you more. Both were obviously flawed on some level, but the intent was beautiful, which was to remember a very special man who inspired so many people.

Well at least Lordi's tribute was an genuine tribute to Bowie, unlike GaGa's which was a genuine tribute to.... GaGa #BRITs2016 #BRITs

I don't like her voice in this song at all. She doesn't have the energy.

I actually enjoyed this tribute. To me it seemed more genuine? But like others said, the Brits have a more personal attachment to the singer and thus this type of "in memoriam" performance was just as good as Gaga's.

gaga's tribute made me more interested in bowie's music and what he did. lorde's tribute gave me elsa mars teas. i enjoyed both tho. i see a tribute as a celebration of that person's life
