Kesha is not making money (no album and music for two years?) and going to court is hella expensive. taylor gave the best support she can. the media can report on this one. no one pays with tweets.

Tweets can give some satisfaction, but in the end money is what pays lawyers' bills

sooooo, spreading awareness is a noun now? oops i didn't realize they changed it.

Pathetic.

Taylor remains an unbothered feminist goddess while you seethe at how you misjudged her and then try to save face by saying it wasn't enough because "words speak louder than actions."

and you remain a blind stan who cannot take a plank length of criticism towards Taylor Swift. take several seats.

You are a sad human being.

Stop judging someone, and saying they aren't feminist for not tweeting Kesha. For all we know, Taylor could have met Kesha in private and personally gave her the money. Taylor probably didn't want this to come out as a big PR stunt, but just something from her heart: artist to artist.

HOWEVER, people like you come along and are like "Omg, she's giving her money instead of vocally supporting her? Wow... She's no feminist.." Like what does feminism have to do with all this??? Let them be. Unless you know them personally, and know the situation, I don't think you have a right to judge them. You know nothing, just like everyone else.

just appreciate that Taylor gave Kesha funds to support her in her dire time of need.

Is that what we're calling it nowadays? I mean, you didn't even try.

Google is your friend,

but she cannot call herself a feminist if she cannot speak up vocally against an issue where gender inequality is a strong player. This is one of the main parts of being a feminist. If you don't speak up, you're just a bystander. Did you not see I said I like how Taylor donated her money like 3 times in the OP, or did me coming for her fill you blind with rage? I'll appreciate what I want, thanks.

You better look up for the definition of what feminism really is.

Please check yourself, didn't you know it was hashtags that ended world hunger?

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

Rage in the moment, but I realized we are all human and all have our own opinions.

so, all I can say now is delete it fat.

Feminism is becoming some sort of bandwagon which is being used frivolously as a trend/new age movement.

Honestly, i don't see the benefit of her tweeting her support other than cause some huge media stir. How is it helping the situation? Raising awareness of female victimhood in the industry? Okay, now what.

I applaud Taylor for keeping it private and lending a real helping hand rather than just the cringeworthy "lets pray for..."

It's also wise to not jump so quickly into conclusion and start pointing fingers when one doesn't have the full account of the story- aka majority of everyone aggravated by this case. I think Iggy Azaela's tweet is the most acceptable response so far.

Coming out and saying something is certainly good, especially with her star power, no denying, but so many big artists and bands have already come out vocally to give Kesha love and support. Taylor likely would have been derided as an opportunist so she did something else very valuable: made a sizeable dent in Kesha's legal bills.  $250,000 is nothing to scoff at. Even Demi stated not everyone can afford to do this. Taylor could and did. Of course people will still say she didn't do enough, but we don't know what's happening behind closed doors. Perhaps maybe she is giving Kesha some legal advice and some important contact numbers? People mock Taylor about legal issues but she has a damn fine team around her. Maybe she also writes another check later? People deride her for this (and some would for anything really) but she is performing an action, instead of "just" talk, which we get enough of in Hollywood. And who knows what her future plans will be? I'm sure she will be interviewed about this. It's already making the news rounds. That may be the time she choses to speak about this, maybe on television with a wide audience. There are other ways to support someone, and by Kesha's mother letting everyone know, we now know where Taylor stands on the issue: by Kesha's side.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

I think I have typed the sentence "Taylor Swift is not a feminist" almost ten times today

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
