I think it really showcases her vocals, whether or not you believe they're irritating, you can't doubt that she's phenomenal when she sings like that. Majority of critics agree with me. As with the vocals, I only heard it most with TIHTY, which will not work on its own and get an Oscar nomination if you will use The Fame vocals on it like 'Brown Eyes'. I can accept the Dope (studio version) vocals but I admit they sound slightly rough, which I also think is intentional, so that's fine. Her live renditions of Dope have all been amazing though, and it's one of the most painful ballads I've ever heard from her. As for Til It Happens To You, Star-Spangled Banner and Imagine, they are all flawless so NO, I'm not WITH YOU AT ALL. You can't take away the Dope vocals from Lady Gaga, it's HER icon.
