I think the "Are you ok" thing is right, but you don't have to believe someone to ask that.

She speaks truth...like...how can people put in high positions not take these cases seriously...especially one so publicized :saladga:

I totally agree. I don't support automatically believing everyone who says something happened because unfortunately some people are falsely accused, but the only humane, compassionate, and reasonable thing to do is to at least make sure that person who might really be a victim is okay.

The people who focus first on "well what if she's lying" are, in my experiences, men I wouldn't want my daughter dating if I had one. It makes me wonder what their experiences have been and what their worldview is that they care more about the man in that situation than the woman.

But at the same time, we need to acknowledge that our justice system is completely stacked against the victims of sexual assault, particularly those who are female or are People of Color. The 'legal' systems on college campuses are particularly horrible for young women.

I wish I could put a danger alert on people like you so men know not to date people like you.

There is too many crazy psychopathic people in this world and if you give them the green light to use their craziness, they will do it so you cant say we should believe anyone! We should tell the accuser that we believe them but she/he still have to go through the court system of providing evidence and we cant treat the person accused of rape as a rapist until the court is done. By your logic that Hilary Clinton also agrees with, Bill Clinton should be jailed today for being accused of rape.

Being falsely accused of rape is worse than the victim not being believed. If your raped, your get sympathy, support, counselling and all the good things that help heal a hideous wound. If your are falsely accused of rape, your life is destroyed. You can be fired, your wife could leave you, your kids wont talk to you and you get a 10 or 20 years sentence to jail where you can ironically get raped! then your condition of release is having to admit to raping and now your are forever a sexual predator! So to be raped, you get sympathy, support, help and people care about what happens to you but if your falsely accuse of rape, your life is destroyed and your never getting it back.
