Gaga's Grammy Performance

I've seen this fandom saying how Gaga's performance was not good or stuff. They're also talking about how the media and everyone downed Gaga for it, but the thing is, this fandom was built on love, self acceptance, and confidence. What Gaga does isn't for the media. It's for US. and Her.

Why do we care so much about what people say about us and Gaga? We are better than that. Who cares if Gaga didn't live up to the media's expectations? We should love and praise the performance because we ARE little monsters and we are sure of ourselves

this post is trash wow sorry

We, as a fanbase, have seen Gaga dragged through the mud by the GP. I honestly think whenever people disagree, we take it seriously because we are so sensitive about what the GP thinks of her.

In my messy era.

Yeah, I agree.

Anyway we all know how it really looks like. Do not delude yourself. That whatthe media say has a huge impact on the entire career of the artist. And we're living it.

Bloody Matt

I honestly can't see all the hate from the GP some fans are pointing out :neyde: I guess they just want to hide their insecurities behind (inexistent) others' opinion. Sad tbh

How can you say that what Gaga does isn't for the media? She does care what the media thinks of her. She recorded a full album with a jazz icon, did a lot of performances that focused on her vocals, she sang songs that people know, only to fix her public image, and then you say what the media thinks isn't important?

The Jazz album was an idea since 2011 when she was at the top and didn't need to fix her image. Try harder next time.

Then why didn't she do it then? Why did she scrap DWUW video? Why was her manager fired? Why did she spend months doing nothing but vocal performances of classic, popular songs that everyone knows? She had a point to prove and she did. There's nothing wrong with that. The amount of praise she got is incredible. That was my point.

And drop that ****ing attitude.

I don't think there's a single artist, especially female and young, that wouldn't be dragged by the mostly cishet male Bowie fandom/correlating writers in the media, no matter what the artist did for tribute performance

I think Gaga knew this and used it as an opportunity to honor her idol and draw a circle back to what made her a star in the first place, especially knowing it was sandwiched between Super Bowl and Oscars for protection/redemption no matter how the Grammys outing would pan out in the public opinion sphere

There's nothing harder for people to do than admit they were fooled.

I disagree. The problem is not what other people, other fanbases or the media say. The problem is that people were expecting something never seen before, a completely new way of experiencing music, technological effects that are beyond the imaginable. But instead we got a moving piano and a projection on Gaga's face, so naturally there is disappointment. I don't say the performance was bad, I actually enjoyed it, but I can relate to other people who are disappointed. Because if that's all that Intel could come up with, they should rather go back to trying to invent a printer that actually works, cause mine is by Intel and it doesnt -.-
