It's a parody of those who think that white people are being discriminated against or that white people are being attacked by Beyonce. It's a parody of everyone that freaked out over Beyonce's new song/video/performance In this video, it's portrayed as if it's actually a huge disaster for white people and that people are actually freaking out. It's as if white people are actually living in fear due to Beyonce's song and the whole way through it's shown as ridiculous and nothing to really freak out about. It's not saying all white people actually acted like this, it's aimed at making fun of the white people who did think that Beyonce's song was shocking and an attack on whiteness. The joke is really that Beyonce's single is not that controversial, it's not something so terrifying for white people, it's just a damn song.

"They can't exclude themseles from the ignorant racists." Why? Because they are also ignorant racists or because they are white and there is institutional white supremacy? "they represent white people as a whole and some white people being "in on the joke" about it doesn't suddenly erase that fact." No small group of any ethnicity represent that ethnicity as a whole. If you are talking about the actual skit where they are representing all white people, the entire joke is based around how this didn't happen. That despite ignorant people seeing this as an attack on white people and discriminatory to white people, what happened in the minds of these racist white folk isn't what happened in reality. You can be a white person and make fun of racism and ignorance, this whole skit was based around the fact that Beyonce's single wasn't this huge attack on white people or whiteness. This skit wasn't making fun of white people, it was making fun of this doomsday idea in the mind of some racists that white people were under attack. This is what it would look like if white people were under attack due to Beyonce's single and it looks absolutely ridiculous. It's a parody and the question is still there about, what's the big deal? Why are they afraid? Why do these people feel under attack? But in this skit they do feel under attack. It's a joke over the criticism, if the criticism of Beyonce's song was stretched to it's limits then this is what it would look like. White people feeling scared, attacked and frightened. Do you think that white people are void from critiquing racism because of this institutionalised racism? Or is it an issue with how they have approached it? I don't see an issue personally with SNL joking about the ludicrous criticism Beyonce faced and stretching that criticism to it's most ludicrous and hilarious conclusion. I don't see that as contributing to this institutional white supremacy, it seems to me like a very clear criticism of it.
