I was wondering why she never got a Bowie tattoo before. Didn't expect this but I love it. The placement fits well with what she already had, connecting it all like one big side piece. I love her for paying hommage to her idol like this. It's an iconic image too.

For those worried about the pain:

I have a feeling she likes the pain. Its only mild and it can act as an extra reminder during the performance of their connection.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

I'm not a big fan of tattoos of people's face and I think the particular area she chose is getting clustered but thats just me. I wouldnt get it but that's irrelevant.  I hope she's happy with it :nick:

I don't like it, it's too big and it doesn't look good. I would never get another face tattooed on my own body... she could've just gotten the lighting bolt tbh. But if she likes it that's ok.

You're all basic af, I'm telling you...

I think it's beautiful.

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

Omg it's a beautiful tattoo

I must admit that it is really big and I didn't expect her to do his full face, but it still looks really good!

After reading the things about it being Bowie inspired I was hoping she'd get two lightning bolts beneath her eyes, like tears like Lil Wayne has because it'd be so out of left field :laughga:

For some reason I think it looks better placed like that among her other tattoos.

I totally agree :) It's cool when people have multiple unrelated tattoos in a general area because it looks a bit like a personal body scrapbook or something :flutter:

I make it a habit to never, ever, comment negatively about a persons tattoos. It's rude. However if I was rude enough to critique her tattoo I might say something along the lines of...

Bitch, you have all the resources and money in the world at your finger tips so why are you getting an incredibly uninspired Bowie tattoo?

Use your connection in the art world to have an incredible artist sketch you a portrait, take the portrait to an obscenely talented tattoo artist. Don't pop into some shitty LA tattoo parlor. Have Koon's sketch a lighting bolt and have it tattooed on your hip, have Robert Wilson do a watercolor of Ziggy and have it put on your back, something other then the most copy-n-pasted Bowie tattoo I've ever seen.

You'd think someone who is so obsessed with art would put more thought into the artistic value of her tattoos.

But I would never say that.

Maybe this picture of Bowie just have that special connection with her that no other Bowie-related abstract art masterpiece could. I'm thinking this picture probably brings her back to her years of full fandom, where she felt alone and misunderstood, and she look up to him. Something like what a 'Born This Way' tattoo could mean to some monsters.

But I'm responding to an hypothetical critic you would never say anyways.

:air:

She should've asked Kat Von D. She's great with portraits.
