Daredevil 2,133
Sorry, but Kanye lost his self awareness long time ago
Guest
Taylor sold millions before Kanye publicly bullied her, so no, I don't think Kanye made her who she is today.
Raikou 1,169
He probably changed Gaga's career more by doing that, actually! Kanye and Gags were about to embark on the 'Fame Kills' tour and The Monster Ball may never have happened.
Iwontell 7,312
No...his VMA shenanigan did make ppl interested in Taylor back when it happened, but it died soon afterwards. Taylor can credit her success to the strong following she build up during her years in country music and to her successful transition to pop music, which brought in other "demographics" that wouldn't consume her previous work...in other words, Kanye had nothing to do with it, as much as he'd love to think he did... ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.
Kabexuela 1,184
Taylor would've eventually crossed over to pop from her country roots so this whole banter about Kanye opening that door is so embarrassing.
PatrickMonster 6,495
I remember that I didn't really know who she was at that time... I heard her name any maybe one or two songs here and there, but after that incident she has become much more famous so yes by all means... obviously if youre from the US that's not the case, she was big before that as well
OmgSum1Actually 3,041
@AyaKara in my culture calling someone rat is an endearment term, so please let me express my thoughts. Cultural appropriation is the adoption or use of elements of one culture by members of a different culture. Americans took that element of our culture the other way around.
