DiscoHeaven23 35,007
These are the week to week performances of Ciara's singles on the Billboard Hot 100. -The Goodies era was dominant and prominent. Goodies has sold 2.8 million copies -Though the singles from Ciara: The Evolution didn't do as well as Goodies, when i listen to them I remember them all as hits. They must've been big on radio. -Fantasy Ride was Ciara's true downfall. Even "Love Sex Magic" didn't perform how i thought it did, I thought it was a big song. The album has only sold about 200,000 copies compared to its predecessor, which has sold about 1.35 million copies. -While "Ride" was a moderate hit, none of Ciara's other singles from Basic Instinct charted. (But listen to "Gimme Dat", its a bop) -"Body Party" brought back a little bit of interest in Ciara. (I know it made me interested in her again). The song was critically praised -The Jackie era is a huge missed opportunity on the public's part. That album is gold and I highly suggest checking it out. I think "I Bet" was a very wrong first single choice and that could've messed up the momentum Ciara had going from her Ciara era. -In conclusion, I think Ciara is an artist that deserved to be more in the forefront of the music industry in the years that followed her first two albums. Her talent is beyond. The best dancer of this generation, in my opinion, and her voice is heavenly. ARTPOPisaChoice 946
Missy Elliot's semi-comeback with WTF has shown that there still is interest in black female artists who were largely left behind when Beyonce & Rihanna came around. Ciara is only 30 (I thought she was at least 35), she has time to come back, as her music has defenitely returned to more of her roots with Jackie. If the GP becomes interested in R&B again in the next four-five years, Ciara will comeback. Hands up to the sky 🌧 I’ll be your galaxy 🌌
Hexxx 2,244
Never Ever is my favorite single by her next to I Bet. I wish she got more praise and coins as Beyonce and Rihanna. Ciara has more meaningful songs anyways Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko
Riot Poof 2,236
What happened to Ciara's career? Did Beyoncé and Rihanna have a monopoly on contemporary R&B music? I've seen jokes and discussions about Ciara flopping, but why did she? I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.
