Dominic 11,922
I hope she chooses the right singles this era though. Prism is such a good album but not all the single choices did it justice. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it
TimisaMonster 31,073
The answers she gave to those 3 questions She's not a person that exudes creativity and artistic evolution when you look at her image and body of work I'm sure if we as pop fans and the GP can see that, then the Grammy committee can as well, which is why they will never give her a Grammy unless she musically grows up and starts singing about stuff that matters... Yes the comment about charts is nothing new but still cringe worthy when you hear how obsessed she is with having number 1's....remember the clip of her complaining to not bring up her single numbers unless it's high or #1? She's a charts person...not focused on quality and that's a reflection in the style of her music. But she's a label puppet and if she hasn't changed in 3 going on 4 albums....yeah that's sad Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify!

PopBitch 1,218
Such snobbery and hateful comments on here. She doesn't have to be as good as Gaga to still be talented as far as music. Her last album was about going through a brutal divorce and depression and pulling through and finding happiness again. I consider that depth. Katy has been nominated 13 times for a Grammy. You can't say she's not talented if the academy recognized her as being worthy of that many nominations. And let's not forget, ARTPOP was completely snubbed as even worthy of a nomination.. It received zero nominations for a Grammy. Prism received two nominations, Roar, best song of the year, and Prism, best pop album of the year I'm not even a huge fan of Katy, but would never say she's not talented.. hELXIG 43,304
This is good to hear though. I liked that she spoke about not following trends any more and doing her own thing, and also trying to be genuine in her music. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. No, but i think an extended break from her might be good and time could actually allow her to try something new. I was a fan of hers during the One of the Boys era and I hope to see her come back in a refreshing way. Perhaps she's hit her "Mona Lisa" phase. I just don't wanna see her comeback with any Teenage Dream/Prism stuff (keep "Firework" type work though) Not fire work One of the boys will be fine, I love her pop-rock song
