I hate to put a damper on things, but I worry and I can't stop worrying.  I worry about Gaga putting herself on Norma Jeane's treadmill.  All these totally different performances each require starting from scratch with different design, planning, preparation, endless rehearsals.  It's enough work to put on one show, but so many dissimilar shows while preparing for a new album and who knows what else.  The real treadmill is the pressure.  She is invited to do these shows because they know she will slay.  When she is put on last, it's because they know she is the artist that will bring the house down.  She must live up to these expectations that are higher than the sky.  She must be at the top of her game every performance.  And she's a human, with all the frailties and limitations that entails.

Also I think you're conflating humility with confidence. 

A person lacking confidence would not have decimated the entire nation with a perfectly sung national anthem in front of an audience of a hundred million.

A couple weeks ago people were making threads about how she too pretentious. Pretentiousga was the word used if I remember correctly and now this thread. Lol no one is ever happy with her. 

So I guess the Pretentiousga people were complaining about died.

When Gaga started out she was faking the confidence. She was young, inexperienced, and oftentimes overwhelmed. That fake confidence was a way to protect herself. 

Now, with age and life experiences, she is comfortable as herself. Gaga is secure in her personal and professional world. Now, she has a genuine confidence.

I don't think she doesn't have confidence. She has just become very humble in recent years.

I remember Michael Jackson saying "I don't like to talk much, I like to perform."

Gaga is sort of taking that approach now. She doesn't talk about her albums, in interviews she talks about the importance of her songs/performances etc. instead of her achievements. She lets the music and the performance do the talking.

I worry about her, too, sometimes but I think she's going to be just fine.  She was born to entertain.

You are confusing the two.

She is not daring, not fierce anymore.

Anyway, we had many conversations about this topic during the ARTOP era, when it was more apparent. She started losing it after MTN flopped. Watch her 2013 jingle bell performance and then compare it with the rest of the performances during that era, there for 1 night she somehow gained back whatever she had in her  during her TF-TFM-BTW days. IDK if she will be fierce during LG5, she ran away from the whole pop scene after ARTPOP so I'm not sure she dealt with the things that bothered her and made her insecure, but who knows maybe she did.

I would term it the more mature type of confidence. If you look back on the Fame days, you will notice that the confidence you were referring to was bordering on arrogance. But if you try to take a look at her now, she has that light, that quiet confidence that is also quite classy and humble. Humble =/= No Confidence. If you want to see a broken and defeated Gaga, browse her interviews during the ARTPOP era post-Applause. Compare it to today and you'll see a **** ton of change.
