Off Topic but why does it say "Land of the Free" in the American National Anthem when the country was founded on religion, slavery and genocide of the indigenous people as well as having the police legally shooting civilians for no reason and having your government spying on you? :wtf: like it makes no sense.

Slavery isn't a uniquely American atrocity.

Religion is a fundamental part of human behavior dating farther back than all of recorded history.

Most the purposeful genocide was thanks to the British and French. Beyond that though most of the death was a result of native people being exposed to European disease that they hadn't evolved to cope with.

The actions of a few racists abusing the system isn't representative of an entire government in the same way that a few gang members aren't the representatives of an entire race.

Literally all governments spy on their citizens in the digital age, in fact a great deal of European states work closely with the US on domestic surveillance programs.

Lastly none of those points have anything to do with freedom and if you don't believe in the liberty of the US all of us have the right to own firearms that could be used easily to overthrow the government. But nobody ever will because the plain fact of the matter is that all sensible Americans are proud of the nation we have built and continue to work towards bettering every day. How dare you attack the greatest country in all human history, especially after our favorite singer just gave the proudest, most beautiful rendition of our national anthem. Open a ****ing book and learn the actualities of the overblown problems with our country before you misguidedly spew more anti-american bullshit again you filthy communist.

He has a point. You have no right to come in firing shots at poem that was written during the 19th century. Why does it matter? What differences does it make? What are you trying to gain, other than causing an un-necessary drama, by acting like the USA is the only country in the history of humanity to commit such atrocities?

If you knew anything about American history, which you clearly do not, you would know that the Star Spangled Banner was written during the War of 1812. It was written to celebrate the American victory over the British after they attacked Boston. Was America the "land of the free" to all people then, absolutely not. However that's not the meaning of the line. That line refers to, what some historians call, the second freedom America gained from Great Britain during this war.

I'm just saying it's not relevant today

I'm kinda surprised that Gaga didn't lip sync.I thought NFL won't allow a live performance :green:

Anyway, she sang her ass off.those high notes at the end were everything. So heart warming.I'm not even an American but it somehow made me proud of America,if that makes sense:laughga:

This performance shows that she's way above her contemporaries.I swear,i'm never going to compare her with other Pop girls again. They can keep their so called "Queen of Pop" titles.

I had no doubt she would nail this performance like the professional she is. Well done, Gaga!

Do your own research.
