brdn08 12
I think a lot of people in this thread are proving their own ignorance, naivete, and youth with some of these comments. If you're not actually aware of the black experience in North America and you're drawing parallels between that experience and being called names or "white people suck" then I think you have no real comprehension of what levels of horror black people faced in America. It's not something you just "get over". No one tells Jews to "get over" the Holocaust. I think a lot of people should disconnect from the internet and get out more. Hold in person conversations; meet people from different backgrounds. If Beyonce song reactions are your biggest worry, then you are truly blessed. Chic 20,830
All I'll say is, as a white transgender person statistically more likely to be killed or victimized than black people, I'm not a fan of having insulting remarks about my skin color becoming a socially acceptable thing. As someone who can't just log off if I see an insulting word and all the prejudice against magically ends, I don't much appreciate seeing that the reality I love supposedly doesn't exist just because I'm not black. I can't suffer because I'm not black? Even if me being white is advantageous, even if I can go outside and not worry about racism, that doesn't mean I don't have social issues far more prevalent and dangerous than most black people. So now despite having far more horrific circumstances on a daily basis, I have to deal with one facet of my identity becoming socially acceptable to degrade for something I'm not responsible for doing or perpetuating. Is that fair to you? Should I have to put up with the shaming of one aspect of my identity being a fair thing to do now when I already put up with so much ****? At least black people who get shot or discriminated against by police officers can have their name and gender correctly written in the newspaper, and buried in the clothing they want to wear. Trans people have long been legally discriminated against, mist endeared by the media, and buried in the opposite gender's clothing with there memory forever tainted by the interference of corrupt government and the disgusting media. Except now that life is a struggle with being transgender, now black people have told me it is fair to insult me based on something else I can't control. Let's not forget that the murderers of white and black transwomen have been mostly black, by the way. I watched a video by a black transwoman a while back who said that she gets tons more support from the trans community than the black community, and that she was ashamed to be black because of what they said about her. Black trans people are willing to fight the black pride fight, but it doesn't often work that way vice versa. As for what this post is, it's not a pity party about me, it's an example led by citations supported by my own legitimate experiences.

Saying "racism to white people from occident" is a way of destroying everything negros have fought for CENTURIES Racism has by definition, two ways of understanding it. One is "hate towards another race" and yes, I'll have to accept it but I think using the word racism for black individuals hating on white people (which it's very reasonable) is very offensive and inappropiate. It is actually worse when you are racist and its not systematic because you are actually aware of your racism! But hate towards black people is not systematic as it is not socially accepted to be racist in America. Are you seriously saying that its offensive and inappropriate to call a black person racist even if he really is racist? you even admit that its racist yet you use emotional arguments like its offensive and inappropriate! Im a Arab so are you telling me its inappropriate to call me out on my racism if I hate all Americans because of what we struggled? no thank you, I want to live in a world where you would call me out of my racism if I was one. I cant believe we live in a world where its racist to call people out for being racist!
