This happens all the time and the shameful thing is that Bey's team probably didn't think twice about it. Most underground artists can't afford to take on big stars with a team of lawyers...

Eeek that's not cool  The original maker should recieve some major compensation, firstly because it's their footage, and secondly because they said no to it being used but whoever was in charge went ahead and totally disregarded their response which isn't okay  Like you can't just ask someone for permission then be like "whatever I'm gonna do it anyway!" if they say no - hoping it was somehow just a misunderstanding but it's still a pretty big blunder
