It is super pro-black (America will not be pleased), it doesn't have a very strong melody and the hook isn't catchy. But this song is great. Beyonce is so comfortable and isn't interested in making radio friendly pop songs like radio anymore. She is just doing as she pleases, being more true to herself than ever. That's what art is about IMO. Expression. She is being her; not what the radio wants her to be. She's confident and it reflects in her music. I love this. ItsTommyBitch 12,640
Not some of her most playful anthemic songs being considered "antics" because they arent lyrical goldmines (at least in a way you understand or relate to ) Anyway, i dont mind. They are fun, and subversive on some level, which is important 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
Runway 27,876
The same people who praise "hot sauce in my bag swag" and "i love my negro nose" are prob the same ones who say "I am rich ass piss" and "just ask your gay friends for advice" are terrible lyrics

I like the new song, it's kind of a big **** you to the media/society. She's embracing her blackness. I feel like a lot of people are taking lines out of the song and making it seem like a pointless song. If you don't like it, that's completely fine nd you don't have to listen to it. But what I love about Beyonce is that she's a strong woman and black girls have someone in the pop atmosphere telling them they can become a star. That's pretty cool to me. I don't dislike that lyric but comparing that line to "I love my negro nose" which is obviously not poetic at all either but is meant to exude self love for characteristics that black people have been shamed for makes for a bad comparison. no one is praising the lyrics of this song cause they're good or poetic lol, it's about the representation of urban culture by a major pop artist. the actual lyrics are obviously silly, just like those lines in gagas songs are. doseofamnesia. tumblr. com
wahkeenasitka 1,995
Honestly, as an unbiased observer, I actually like the direction she's heading artistically. More IDGAF. Less Pop. More wild and weird and freaky and unabashedly sexual. I like it. For most of the early part of her career she focused on cementing herself as a pop icon. Now that she's wealthy and a famous celebrity, it seems like she really doesn't give a f*ck and is doing whatever she wants and is releasing music simply for the sake of it being fun. Naufri 7,424
I think is funny how a lot of people think tha actual Beyonce is the true Beyonce, that now is really following her path to true art, and finding herself. I think is frankly the opossite, I think the old beyonce was more authentic than this indie artsy Beyonce. I can't believe somebody with an alter ego so campy and corny as Sasha Fierce have always been this serious girl, really interested in experimental music, and all her life was hiding her true persona, and artistic aspirations... I think simply that the old Beyonce is locked in a closet waiting for this "indie r&b wave" to pass. I must say that I don't have nothing against the new, or the old Beyonce, but I don't have any proof that the new is the real and the old wasn't. SychosSoChic 9,995
I love it. I mean it's nothing special, I'm not gonna buy it on iTunes or anything, but it was a nice song and an amazing video, but It's not going to be giving me flashbacks to my happy days. 4 hours ago, Adnan said: She's better than that! when this Cheap Ratchet phase will end!
