That's cause you're living in a Katy/Gaga world. Not every chorus needs to be be ra-ra-ra-ra lalala wapapapa jujuju oelalala. And y'all are saying (especially in the other Bey thread right now) that she's "making quick money-making songs". If she wanted that, she'd hop on a Major Lazer instrumental, sing about the club or love and grab herself another #1. But she's not. People are done with the industry, que the music THEY wanna make.

You're all going to be majorly disappointed if Gaga doesn't bring out the big-chorus instant-hit machine for LG5 huh? Sad.

and "I slay I slay" is so much better ?

Of course he's allowed to like what he likes, and I'm allowed to quote his opinion to disagree with it, that's called being on a forum...

"Obviously Gaga would never lower herself to something like this"

That's cause Gaga's not an urban artist. What is wrong with "something like this"? What does that stand for? Ghetto? Urban? Trap? Black? A new generation of African Americans? I sense hidden racism in your comment.

Trash.

That's what's wrong with it.

Lmao I'm just gonna say what many think. The song is GARBAGE.

As if artists like Beyonce or Rihanna do not make music for the masses. This ''I'm making the music I want to'' is obviously not happening for either of them. Rihanna spent a year on making something that would sorta chart and Beyonce just dropped a new song so she can perform it for over 100 million people. But sure, it's not meant to appeal to the masses and they're so edgy doing their own thang:emma:

Are you kidding me? Don't you think that if they wanted to, they'd make those hits they KNOW the gays/whites/masses want? It's called market analysis and EVERY manager/record label is aware of that.

And it IS happening, because Rihanna/Jay/Whoever KNEW that a mid-tempo, no big chorus album like ANTi wouldn't chart high by itself. So instead they gave it away for free and had a third party (Samsung) pay for every copy downloaded. That's SMART. That's business.

And it IS happening because here you are talking about this video. Like Beyonce says in the video "you know you're that bitch when you cause all this conversation... the revenge is your paper."

And that's exactly it. They do what they wanna do. Put out music that might not be understood or appreciated by the masses, and STILL find a way to make money of it. Wethers it's via marketing deals like ANTi/Samsung, touring or whatever.

You'll deal. #blackbillgates

The song is wack. You're already admitting it'll flop. Not because it's so called ''urban or not made for the masses'', just because it's wack.

I don't wanna have to close this so let's cut down on the arguing/insults.

But like why... Can't people have different opinions? And most of us are gay so lingo like "sit down" "girl", "sis" and stuff are just in the heat of the moment. I'm sure we'd all be respectful adults if you put us in an actual room.

I don't really care for the song but appreciate its boldness and meaning :applause:

looks like putting out underwhelming and poor lead singles is the thing now...i mean, im grateful they are cause its more room for a #1 single for Gaga

That's all you have to say? That's your opinion. And that's cool. But what I wrote was a response to your insinuation they're intending of this being a worldwide smash. And it isn't.

But that's cool. My post is backed up by their deals. Yours is just your opinion.

I think this very thread proves that people are allowed to have different opinions :toofunny: Everybody can disagree until their heart's are content - just don't get personal and don't get too flamebaity.

It has the same problem BEYONCE had: non-existent melodies, inane lyrics (hotsauce in my bag, swag), no sense of real craftsmanship. Her songs too often sound like mixtape rejects now.
