' This show would be boring as hell without Beyoncé and Bruno Mars".

Well i must of been looking around and searching for Superbowl videos and i stumbled on this post and then i found the link to the video. so i then watched the video and started to laugh because the rehearsal video looks boring. i mean i like Coldplay and i believe that they're better than this and i know that rehearsals are supposed to be messy but it honestly looks boring for an anniversary. i think that the NFL shouldn't of had one main performance headlining the show it should have been a bunch of stars who would make it fun. Lets just hope that the show is spectacular and up to Coldplays usual live standards.

Also what is you Favourite Coldplay song: mine is paradise and Adventure of a lifetime.

Coldplay was a great choice. I think for the 50th anniversary it's cool they're including past performers.

There's never a "right" choice for the SB anyway. Most of the country watches this. Men, women, children. They have to get artists that have mass appeal across different demographics. You think middle aged men want to see Beyonce? Bruno? You think most people like Coldplay? Does everyone like BEP?

I know many people don't even care about the halftime show. It's a restroom break lol.

People tune in to watch the game mostly anyway.

I think it's too early to judge, actually...

In all honesty, these pop girls' performances are usually VERY out there, so people who follow their work (us) will probably find all the other acts kinda boring, at least from a presentational perspective...but to the regular person, Coldplay's performance will be ok, maybe great (I mean, they have many strong songs to fill those 13 minutes: In my place, clocks, speed of sound, viva la vida, the scientist...)...

In short, I don't think Coldplay is a "wrong" choice...(I wish it was Rihanna on that stage, though, she has enough hits to make the 13 minutes interesting and she would benefit a lot from the exposure, since she just released an album)

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

Was it the right choice? Yes.

Is it being executed well? Hell no.

Ok, all shade aside, they could have been PHENOMENAL imo but they chose to let others overshadow them

I get the feeling people cynical tones towards there performance led them to be less confident in their own ability, or the NFL felt less confident, and tried to clean up what they thought was a mess.

i mean, we are all used to having female pop singers with "out there" performances take over. a pop rock band is not gonna do a hardcore choreography with huge props and effects, they´re just gonna stand, sing and ocationaly bob their heads and walk around. its a different choice for the halftime.

also, if the NFL had chosen well we all know who would be doing the halftime instead of the anthem AfDRO0D.png

Exactly, I would have bopped hard to Princess of China and stuff but they decided instead on Bruno and Bey

There are people who prefer this kind of performance over the theatrical, intricate performances of pop stars. Pop fans and rock fans have different standards.

I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.
