I agree ---- which is why it's so beautiful that THIS TIME she doesn't have to change a word. The meaning is still there. And we are all living in thanks to the Supreme Court decision last summer. It's beautiful. Honestly, it brings tears to my eyes.

I absolutely love our anthem, I'm glad the conservatives in the 50's didn't **** it up like they did the pledge.

I agree. I wasent too happy when she messed with the lyrics that time although I got the context.
Its just one of those songs you DONT touch. I think its safe to say shes not doing any sort of changeing this time. Cant wait its going straight to the Ipod!

I mean, I personally find the pledge disgusting. Pledging to a country every day? That's some creepy ****.

I actually loved that she changed the lyrics for that specific performance. I get it, it's a treasure and you dont mess with it, but it was a historic victory, and when you listen to the lyrics, it's about facing adversities and finding strength to carry on and she wasn't singing to the nation in that performance, she was singing to the people who suddenly had a voice. She wasn't even holding the american flag, it was very specific.

She would not DARE do that at the super bowl because it doesnt even make sense, and she isnt stupid. She is just going for a very safe but brilliantly executed performance. It's going to be stunning.

I mean I take pride in my country and am devoted to my country. There is nothing wrong with it. I think its great to be united and I feel like as kids it gives a strong sence of country.

Nationalism isn't a bad thing, and no, most of the time there is nothing wrong with it, but a daily pledge doesn't give us a strong sense of country, it gives us our daily dose of DR-North Korea level brainwashing. I personally sit out for them.

Checkers

So many people don't realize how amazing the song is, and they often just sing it cuz they have to or they're getting paid or whatever.

I can tell Gaga is gonna feel and mean every word she sings this Sunday. I also see how she can relate to it. :]

I am.proud ofy national anthem, y'all.

And it must be the most wellknown too.

As it is incoporated in dozens of films, tv shows, etc
