Its just one of those songs you DONT touch. I think its safe to say shes not doing any sort of changeing this time. Cant wait its going straight to the Ipod! I get it, it's a treasure and you dont mess with it, but it was a historic victory, and when you listen to the lyrics, it's about facing adversities and finding strength to carry on and she wasn't singing to the nation in that performance, she was singing to the people who suddenly had a voice. She wasn't even holding the american flag, it was very specific. She would not DARE do that at the super bowl because it doesnt even make sense, and she isnt stupid. Nationalism isn't a bad thing, and no, most of the time there is nothing wrong with it, but a daily pledge doesn't give us a strong sense of country, it gives us our daily dose of DR-North Korea level brainwashing.
