Yeah there aren't big releases in the near future if Gaga's releasing around then, with less competition I don't doubt that it'll debut very well  I still don't think it's obvious that it'll go to #1 though, I mean at the end of the day it comes down to the song, and we can't really tell whether or not there are other contenders for the top spot unless and until we hear it  She has the hype and the thirst for music from her propelling her, it's just a matter of the right song and right time and luck now  

Basically my point is that there are way too many factors so it's not obvious, to me anyway

Gaga was crazy during ARTPOP but she didn't get dragged because of that. She got dragged because there wasn't music that lived up to that crazyness.

In 2013 you had Lorde, Miley and Iggy and Rita all trying to make Gaga seem old and a "late 2000s early 2010s thing". Now that those basics have flopped they have all changed their tune and started praising Gaga all of a sudden, it's inevitable that the tide of public opinion is turning. Talent and intelligence is what people are craving. Pop needs art, needs Gaga. There I said it.

I disagree. There aren't any obvious number ones. 

Maybe for someone like Taylor Swift who opens with a million albums each time. You know her first single is also going to open with big numbers. Or Adele.

Yeah just like ARTPOP lead innit? No, at this stage we have no bloody idea, that lead can be anything (maybe it sucks?). Most probably she will not debut outside top 20 just because of hype, but what will happen after is up to the song.

I agree but disagree about you calling those artists basic. I'm sick of people on pop forums calling other artists basic... Clearly they have been apart of something good enough to be recognized by a lot of people, and become successful because of it. If anything, we are the one's who are basic for falling into the trap of belittling others for the sake of making one pop star look better than the other. And for what? What is the point?

"Maybe it sucks". Gaga has demonstrated time and time again that she is equally gifted as a songwriter as much as she is a vocalist and pianist. But I think I know what you're saying. You have a very crude way of saying "anything is possible".
