It's obvious LG5 lead will go #1

I feel like Bey and Gaga are viewed differently by the people. Idk. Bey seems to cater more demographic in the past, unlike Gaga's (not that she's unlikable or something). It's hard to explain. But I guess we'll see if people will be expecting and will be waiting enough for that long delay. By that time, without any constant award or praise, I doubt GP still wants LG5. My guess, only stans will.

Like I said, anyone could easily snatch her moment with the right time and song. Only stans hype her.

I completely get your point but Gaga is a polarizing artist and like other polarizing artists, her relation with media is always going to be shaped like a roller coaster. First they loved her, then they tried to kill her a la Amy Winehouse or get her bald a la Britney but they couldn't so she got them back but this won't last forever cause her headlines generate too much money besides media isn't going to treat her well all of the time cause she's not a TS, a Katy or a B.

my whole point is: now it's Gaga's turn to be loved get it?

Once she becomes even more established in a positive light (than she already is, impossible right?!), I think it'll be harder for the media to tear her apart again...

Please, i've been an active member of this forum for 5 years, i know how things work.  and this is the first time i've ever made a thread saying she's going to go number 1...

Still, let's not count our chickens before they hatch. Sure, Gaga has a tendency to release great chart music, but that doesn't mean she will.

True. But I think new artists or risky single releases will be avoided once we know when the single is coming. It will be like Adele, actually. She has had so much great press that I doubt a label would risk trying to compete with Gaga now.

I mean.....did you see the Google viral chart or the NFL Poll today?

Google said people have been talking about Gaga 4X more than Beyonce, Coldplay, and the Quarterbacks combined. :toofunny:

The NFL Poll on twitter today asked what people are most excited to see, and Gaga won by a landslide over Beyonce, Coldplay, and the commercials with a whopping 40% of the votes.

But the NFL poll has nothing to do with the charting position of a song. Sure, she's on fire right now, but she might have a huge blunder at the super bowl and be the most hated individual in America for a few months. We never truly know.

Yes and no. Yes, it will be much harder for them to make issues out of non-issues, like her fake weight gain in 2012, but it will be much easier to wreck her with a scandal. Just think of MJ when the molestation accusations came out, the media ripped him apart limb by limb.

I see your point but I don't think she's gunna mess anything up. She has tons of people around her that truly want her to succeed because they care about her and don't only want her money... And I would say that is quite evident.

As much as I love seeing Gaga being praised by the media, my only concern is its longevity. Some artist may snatch her spotlight at any given moment. Something like Adele-Gaga era. But yeah, I get your point as well. She deserves the praise she's getting right now.

I didn't say she would, but wardrobe malfunctions, technical difficulties, so much factors into her image for the NFL, and **** happens. It's conceivable to be precautious, no?

It's PRE RECORDED.

And before you say, "Well why did Xtina screw it up then?"

The Superbowl decided to make it prerecorded the year after Xtina be she effed it up so bad.

P.S. Has Lady Gaga ever really screwed up a performance EVER? No shade but it's not Katy Perry or Ashlee Simpson we are talking about here.

There was a video of some straight guy whos not even a fan saying that Gaga needs to bring her freak at the NFL... Now when have you ever heard of such a thing? If anything if Gaga chooses to get a little freaky again, the media will be understanding and more like "she's back! Pop music is interesting again!" Or something along those lines. Quite honestly, i think that would be more hypocritical than anything.

No, ARTPOP should have already taught you a lot about assumptions. They make an ass out of you and me.

Like I said, it's just possible. I don't think it will go south, but assuming that it will soar is a bit presumptuous.

It's only page 3 of this thread and already you've made six posts basically saying the same thing again and again: "anything can happen in a live performance"

Are you really telling us anything we don't already know?

Or could it be that you have an ulterior motive?

I mean, if ANYTHING people will just be like "OK" with it.

I'm actually more concerned with this mysterious David Bowie Tribute/Intel collaboration at the Grammy's. People will either say she made it about herself or it could be another Volantis mess. Gaga saying "I now can invent the uninventable" sets the bar pretty high.
