But to be honest, you can't really blame people... it's not their job to investigate Gaga's live vocal performances, and to be honest her musical output that is widely known to the worlds does not really match her huge talent. They can seethe behind those monitors when actually a fan of his (gaga) loved him & got inspired by him so bad that when she got famous she payed homage to him throughout her career; they should consider it a blessing that a fan of his gonna pay the tribute... When it comes to celebrities many people enjoy discrediting and imediately passing someone off as vad or talantless very quickly and prematurely if their style doesnt appear to be their kind of tea in fact they pass judgements so quickly and become so stubborn to them that they zelously and faithfully hate even though they know so little about them it happens a lot actually Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

If she was just one of many performers, I doubt anything would have been said. No one has a right to tell them not to feel that way. Again, it has nothing to do with her singing. It goes far, far deeper than that. Also, many are fine with it. And some are just trolls against Gaga, not really a Bowie fan either. She is a fan of Bowie, so at least it's not like just any singer, Of course, many young singers are huge fans of him, many musically, not visually. Which, again, music is the bling for Bowie fans. I think because she is a dramatic performer in vocal delivery, which he was, that they will feel the connection that way and it will click for them. I have no doubt.and I believe she will be praised by most. It's only a short performance anyway, not a big, much longer tribute that might be glaring that it lacked other musicians to pay tribute. But that doesn't translate to liking her music on an album not stripped down. Gaga, packaged as she is, a pop star writing dance music for most of each album, and isn't going to bring on many rock fans or ambient electronica fans from his generation And some of his albums are really out there, like his Berlin trilogy albums,with Brian Eno. Like ARTPOP would be anything they are interested in. Come on. It's not their thing. Bowie was a rockstar with a live band, not a popstar with a backing track for a good portion of her shows. They go to straight live music concerts and muscians.. Just because Gaga is extremely talented far above the current crop of popgirls, which she is, doesn't make her music interesting to most older fans who are into rock and electronica bands, etc. Why should it? Most of what you read on here are young Gaga fans stanning for pop music only from the current popgirl crop. A tiny percentage venture out past that. If her album is more eclectic and she branches out musically, that could change. She needs to evolve out of dance pop if you want such crossover.
