ReidOne 12,427
Just throwing this crazy theory out there... Does anyone think it's POSSIBLE that the Intel performance was ALWAYS intended to be a Bowie tribute? Consider this: David Bowie clearly knew he was going to die and went to great effort to leave behind a final album that addresses his death. It's not completely out of the question that he let Gaga know in advance and helped plan the entire Intel performance himself. Simply a crazy theory - not necessarily my belief! But something to make you ponder... ...and what if the performance ends up being some sort of ... dare I say ... "hologram"/VR duet between Gaga and Bowie from beyond the grave? This would be some CRAZY **** that only David Bowie and Gaga could pull off!! Plus, VR is all the rage right now in the tech space, so it would make sense for Intel to sign up for it. Bad Bromance 5,809
OMG, someone on Twitter mentioned this today! I wouldn't put it past them, tbh. If your suspicions are true, this will be the most epic performance Gaga has ever done and we'll all be slayed like never before, tbh. I don't care what you think about unless it is about me. People would lose their damn minds!!! It's totally wishful thinking, but... with Gaga x Bowie, anything is possible!
Bebe 17,093
I suppose it's possible but I don't think it's likely. There were people close to Bowie who didn't know anything about his condition. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/news/david-bowie-died-from-liver-cancer-he-kept-secret-from-all-but-handful-of-people-friend-says-a6806596.html I doubt he told Gaga and people at Intel about this when his long-time producer and friend Brian Eno didn't even know. Knife 6,878
Dial it back a bit, honey buns. The man just died; it'd be tacky as **** to "resurrect" him via hologram just to have him perform with you, meanwhile his family is still grieving. dollardays 3,837
That's absurd. Plus, he never got a Grammy and was probably quite indifferent about the show. edit: Just checked, he actually got a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006 and Best Video in 85, sorry about that. Shipper 13,077
Nah. I don't think it was a Bowie tribute from the start. If whatever Gaga is doing with Intel is that flexible to be changed when Bowie died, it means that Intel's end will mostly be in the tech side and not dependent on the actual music Gaga will be doing. If that guess is true then it doesn't matter what Gaga will sing or dance-- if it's new music or a Bowie tribute because all Intel should be concerned about is not letting those tech explode. My bet is that Intel will use drones and Gaga will be controlling them like stars while singing Bowie's Starman or an Intel butterfly drone dress. 🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶
RAMROD 109,366
Yes, that it could be tribute for Bowie all along. He is a legend, and in need for a tribute and life achievement award from Grammy. And he got new album out this year, so that is a momentum. HOWEVER, not about the death theory. If you look around, it is clear that Bowie had asked his own family to keep his illness private. It is part of his will. And Iman and his child did very good job at it. I mean, he was still promoting Black Star a day before his death! And nobody know he is ill, until the news about his death broke the morning after. arsmusic 180
Gaga metioned that she is friend's with his wife, so.... I don't think is likely either, but it's definetly possible.
