Gaga won't lip sync lol. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't perform if they didn't let her sing live.

It would make the most sense, especially considering she put so much emphasis on not doing things anymore that she doesn't want to do. Ever since C2C all of her projects have been so focussed on singing and showing her vocals, so I doubt she'd go through the effort of performing at the super bowl if it didn't back up her passion for putting up a good vocal performance.

On a side note i've always loved that Gaga thought of Whitney singing BTW and MTN when she made them

NO, the only human physically capable of topping Whitney was 90's Mariah Carey.

(Mariah didn't top Whitney's performance when she performed in 2002)

She won't top her, but this will be one of the most commented National Anthem performances in the past few years.

We know she is going to give one of her best vocal performances ever, and this will be talked about highly.

I wonder if Gaga will sing it in 4/4 time like Whitney did, or in 3/4 time like everyone else.  The 4/4 time arrangement allowed Whitney to hold certain notes for an extra beat, giving much emotional impact.  In 3/4 time the syllables "say does that star spang - led ban - ner yet" all have one beat.  In 4/4 time "say", "star", and "ban" all get two beats, making it much more powerful.  Just curious if Gaga will do that.

I think she might.  Gaga likes to honor other singers;  Julie Andrews, Frank Sinatra, David Bowie.  It would be a fitting tribute to Whitney to use her arrangement.

I live outside the space time continuum.

Before the tribute to "The Sound of Music" I wouldn't think it was possible, but after that, I'm really not sure if there boundaries to Gaga's voice. She is limitless

This!

that's what the media makes you think

only if they let her

That article doesn't really prove anything. And if you actually watched her perform you'd know that she hit a sour note at the end. AND there are videos of her rehearsing live. Just trying to inform ya. ;)
