I'm pretty sure she wouldn't perform if they didn't let her sing live. It would make the most sense, especially considering she put so much emphasis on not doing things anymore that she doesn't want to do. Ever since C2C all of her projects have been so focussed on singing and showing her vocals, so I doubt she'd go through the effort of performing at the super bowl if it didn't back up her passion for putting up a good vocal performance. The 4/4 time arrangement allowed Whitney to hold certain notes for an extra beat, giving much emotional impact. In 3/4 time the syllables "say does that star spang - led ban - ner yet" all have one beat. In 4/4 time "say", "star", and "ban" all get two beats, making it much more powerful. Just curious if Gaga will do that. I think she might. Gaga likes to honor other singers; Julie Andrews, Frank Sinatra, David Bowie. It would be a fitting tribute to Whitney to use her arrangement.
