VOLANTIS

Government Hooker, Heavy Metal Lover and Scheisse were all very widely used during the BTW era as Intros, Outros or Interludes leading Fans to overly hype about the Holy Trinity of BTW that didn't become singles.

Fun fact: Interscope chose Dance in the Dark as a single, but Gaga fought very hard against it because she did not want to have that song as a single under any circumstance. She had previously stated that Alejandro was her favorite song from The Fame Monster (along with Speechless). Also a former friend of mine used to work at the Interscope division in Hungary and he said, that Gaga had shot a video for Boys, Boys, Boys and that Interscope may or may not release it for a 20 year anniversay of "The Fame" or as a part of a Best Of compilation once she has died.

Ugh this would be amazing

what kind of bullshit is this??

It was the other way around, Gaga wanted Dance in the Dark and Interscope wanted Alejandro.

i think out of all the above sheisse was the obvious hit. couldve done really well. dance in the dark wouldve been a perfect single choice as well. some people think it wouldnt have charted as high but i disagree, i think its just undeniably good pop. venus wouldve been a more interesting choice as second single as well. honestly i think it shouldve been the first. it wouldve been divisive at first but its a grower. and wouldve made much more of a statement than applause (but i mean applause was her most played song in forever so i guess it served its purpose for her commercially).

the rest i mean why not? idk. **** swine though.

Mister Gaga

imo, the only song that would have SMASHED is Dance in the Dark. That's truly the #1 that got away. Yes, i love HML, Scheisse, Monster, Venus...but they're Top20 hits. DITD would've been enormous :crossed:

Nah, it's catchy but not #1 material, MANiCURE is her only remaining number one that got away at this point, Monster being a top 10 hit that got away and Hair being a hit that got away too

crying that Speechless, Dance In The Dark, Heavy Metal Lover and Scheiße will never have single treatment. All highlights in her career and pure Gaga songs :(

would of also loved Starstruck, Hair, Gypsy and Monster for single treatment. Unrealistic I know but a boy can dream :)

Ferrer Zorola

all of these choices would have been hits :saladga:

Riot Poof

I'm honestly for all of these songs being singles except for "Beautiful, Dirty, Rich."

Spoiler

No hate. It's just not my FAVORITE...

Never have I ever heard anything about Swine being a single

from what I know

Gaga wanted Aura as the lead, she got a no, the decision was then supposed to be between Applause and Sexxx Dreams

For the second single , I saw somewhere saying Interscope wanting Gypsy and Gaga wanting Venus but in the end they both agreed on DWUW after seeing the positive response on the charts.

The only guaranteed hits in my opinion were Starstruck and Monster , due to the extremely positive reaction from the GP

If Beautiful Dirty Rich were Boys Boys Boys were singles :air:  although I do like the way the fame singles worked out.

I think if the singles were Bad Romance, Telephone, Monster THEN Alejandro she wouldn't be as forgotten as she kinda is today.  They waited too long and there were too many disputes.  This is obviously why the telephone video and Alejandro videos came out so late.  Very interesting to look back and see all the issues and waiting was because of the label and not Gaga being annoying which we all thought LOL

Obviously Born This Way was a mess.

with ARTPOP you can't tell me the album would have flopped with Gypsy as the first single or even with Do What U Want as the first single.  Total waste.

If any messes happen with this new Era I will be LIVID.  She obviously has the songs and potential to be on top of Radio.

Sexxx Dreams and Aura too.

but Scheisse and Venus would've slated their respective eras with the right videos.
