I loved so much Riri, and now i'm just happy i didn't buy tickets to her tour Not sure her pop fans are gonna be happy but slay i guess ! Who cares about the "pop" fans ? The thread that was made when Work was released proved that pop forums stans (well at least many underaged GGD members) don't have any idea of what music can be. Most of the negative posts were like "It's not catchy", "Not a bop", yeah and ? I personally don't see what you are talking about when it comes to laziness and such, I love this album already and I'm sure it will become one of my classics. It actually makes me consider buying tickets for her when she performs in my city. "I have been writing LG5 since I was 13"

Higher 2,406
And the album was free its first day. Talent continues to win. Co-wrote the whole album, main writter on multiple songs and made something different from her usual songs. Became a fan when I first heard the album. Continue you to grow Rih. Finally feeling free for the night, I got no worries. Finally got a claim on my life, baby, c'est la vie. ☄️

It actually makes me consider buying tickets for her when she performs in my city. Yeah, right. RiRi stepped out of her usualy ways of the past and it must have pissed so many cause the album truly doesn't have bops. The closest to this is the hyper-sexy Pose and Sex with Me in a way. But she never goes dance-pop on the record. Either it's some trap and experimental RnB (Desperado, Woo, Yeah I Said it, Needed Me) or a pop ballad (Never Ending, Close To Me) or well I can't classify it but Kiss it Better, Love on the Brain and Higher can instanlty go to Classics category in music. The songs structure if someone cared to pay attention is quite different. No more hooks and repetitive cheesy pop choruses. You can feel it sometimes scattered, almost feeling off. It's really good and demonstrates a big growth especially for her. I can't understand many fans here - one second ARTPOP wasn't good enough or artistic enough, or I dunno, we've labeled it too many times to remember all. Then suddenly ANTI is a boring mess with nothing catchy. I predict a huge meltdown of GGD with LG5, tbh. Some of you need to pay attention to when Gaga said she doesn't need (and artists in general) to make their music appeal to the 19-yo and the 21-yo. What if she also doesn't deliver your typical pop structures?
Mark 4,065
WTF are these people? Yall be posting 100238230579 threads when Gaga won an irrelevant award and comment 'TALENT ALWAYS WINS. YAAAAAS GAGA'. And this iTunes topper just got her moment after years and yall are pressed? HA. Good luck with your faves. Cheap thrills 1,282
i feel like all the songs can be released as singles because they all have amazing qualities. and congrats to RiRi and to all the people saying that the album was bad, I'm not sure you heard the songs because you were distracted by all the rumours about the album. Luck 133
The album has such a timeless sound. I'm so happy she went away from the usual Pop/Dance music she used to make with every album. She went out of her comfort zone and made an album that truly deserves to be praised. It fits her voice so well and exemplifies a side of Rihanna that we have never seen. People are being hard on her because she wanted to do something different. Of course you don't have to like it, no one says you have to, but at the same time don't go saying this album is bad just because it doesn't fit your description of what a Rihanna album should be. Most of these "writers" are producers and they are credited for composing. We have same situation with Gaga's albums, look at ARTPOP for example. So by your logic Gaga doesn't write either?
