Quark 7,085
Will Michael Jackson ever be surpassed as the ultimate pop star? I mean the guy had everything and more an artists needs to succeed. He had charisma, immense talent (singing, dancing, song writing, producing), stage presence, and literary everything about him was very unique (his voice, dancing, songs, fashion, videos, ect.). He impacted and influenced just about every modern artists there is, he broke all kinds of sales and awards records in his time, and he brought many innovations music industry. Finally, one of the most important things he was able to do was bring people together. People of different genders, races, religions, music genres, ages, liked him. He did not have a specific demographic of fans like just about every artist does.

nobody3089 250
No, nowadays sales are not the same. U don't even see people running to the store to buy albums. We have streaming now. Artists these days make most of their money from tours, perfumes, and appearances

Red 94,546
I do believe someday somebody will be as good as him, yeah. But no one will ever beat him in sales cause the industry isn't as active as back in the day in this aspect. If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. Chicka 2,385
Maybe in future generations when he's less of a prominent figure in modern pop culture, someone similarly appealing to every kind of person will emerge and captivate everyone again. But then again Marilyn Monroe established her mark in pop culture before even some of our parents were born, yet she remains an icon (if not the biggest icon) of beauty.
