eifulien 2,392
A solid 8. Haven't checked the deluxe tracks yet. Some people got their tracklist messed up, but anyway. Rihanna delivered. I'm so relieved that the wait was worth. She extended her musical scope yet again. But this time she demonstrates maturity, yet the album doesn't lack her typical sexiness. Maybe the lowest points for me are in the middle of the album. I like Desperado, I live for Woo, but Needed me kinda stays the same as the previous two. Also not feeling that cover Same Ol' Mistakes. But after that she just delivers big. Never Ending -> Close to you. My fave is Kiss it Better.
fashion monster 397
I gave it an 8. I'm not a Rihanna superfan, I like all her hits but I've never paid much attention to her albums, so I wasn't expecting anything from ANTI. It's clear to me that this isn't an album for the fans, and I understand their delusion as they were expecting a collection of hits. But for me it's a very cohesive album and I'm enjoying it. If only Higher was longer...
DXPE 924
6. I like a couple of tracks (Higher, Kiss It Better, Love on the Brain) but other than that it is pretty meh. It might grow on me.
asfittingasmcqueen 1,871
it's a 7 from me. After all this mess I was expecting a terrible album full of outdated trap songs, but they all have this experimental vibe on it that makes them sound different. There's a great connection between songs that makes the final product have consistency. I do believe Work was an awful lead single, while songs like Kiss it better, Close to you, Never ending and Love On The Brain are the strongest (and in my opinion, best songs) on the album

retroglamx 5,100
I love this album and it deserves a lot of attention. I hope it slays the charts and awards. Pink flamingos always fascinated me.

Iwontell 7,312
As I said in another topic, I have some mixed feelings about the album, but I kinda like it... The production is competent and modern in most tracks, but at the same time it's feels like a lot of other things I've been listening to lately (I don't see it as particularly experimental, as you say...). Lyrically, it's ok, but it tries so hard to be cool at times, which can weird me out. Her vocal performance sort of compensates that in many tracks, even if she's sloshing her words in some few tunes (but even then it doesn't bother me, bc it's clearly an stylistic choice)... All in all, no song was "clearly a hit" to me, but very few (like two or three) really made feel like skipping ahead...so it's a good album as far as I'm concerned. And I like how there's a clear direction they have adopted, how it all comes together in a cohesive way and how this doesn't seem to be designed to be a collection of future singles, but an actual piece of music... I get why some may be disappointed, but this album made me feel like Rihanna is trying to mature as an artist - and to an extent I think she achieved that - and I'd never attack anyone for trying to grow... Anyway, I give it a solid 7. ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.
Creyk 17,011
2, as there are literally 2 okay-ish songs on the album: Higher and Same Old Mistakes. The rest is trash.
