I somehow would like the butterfly concept better if it was dark and not all girly like.

Like the horrible decay of a butterfly

1st single's concept/imagery  = dying butterfly/decay/ disturbing

progresses*

final single = the metamorphosis is complete and it's a metallic colored fantasy of an afterlife for a once-was butterfly

idk maybe i'm just in need of another dark era like TFM/BTW or smth, something that'll be unforgettable and not sit all too comfortably with the GP/critics

EDIT : i wonder how many people notice the vinyl record behind her

I like the progression concept though. If I were doing it, I would start out with a butterfly existing in a wasteland searching for its glory; it's golden place. Since the butterfly has such a short lifespan since emerging from the chrysalis, time can be another pervasive theme throughout. Eventually as the album progresses, the butterfly finds a place of happiness and hope even with all the chaos and trouble it's gone through to get to that place. The final song could sort of reflect upon its journey and how living is short and precious and a gift and how it can be treasured.

Edit: the more I think about it, the more likely I'll snatch this theme and give credit to you and GGD if Gaga doesn't use it. :gaycat:

we've seen enough decay  already so no.

We all decay in the end. Why not prepare for it?

Even though I'm not a fan of the concept, that cover is probably the best Gaga fan cover I've seen in years.

Decay is such a tired concept for Gaga...there's other areas of "darkness" to explore than just that.

Terrible cocept imo tbh. Could you imagine a whole album about a butterfly? It could use themes about decay and all but the main theme being a butterfly would be messy.

Also the decay theme makes me feel like it's 2012 again when people thought BTW was the decay and AP would be the rebirth
