Carly Rae Jepsen performs medley on Late Night with Seth Meyers

In case you missed it, Carly Rae Jepsen performed two songs off her Emotion album on Late Night With Seth Meyers Monday night, which only served to remind everyone just how solid a pop album that was, despite being largely eclipsed by Taylor Swift's 1989.

It is THE pop album. It's the embodiment of pure pop music as it used to be. It is one of the best albums of 2015. But why do you say it was eclipsed by 1989. Sure heads were turned to Taylor but I don't think this is the reason EMOTION was not given enough attention.

OT: I'm excited to see her live but theres always teenage girls in the very front of her shows so I don't wanna be the only guy there looking like a weirdo.

I didn't say it was eclipse. I'm just paraphrasing what the article said. I love Emotion. It's one of the best alvum to ever grace to humanity.

I think Run away with me is not a song that is meant to be performed live, the studio version is just so atmospheric and ethereal but upbeat at the same time, how are you supposed to recreate that in a live setting? Maybe if you sang it as a part of a choir

I thought it was a terrible performance from CRJ but was super happy to see her still promoting her amazing album and to see some more ink on the injustice that was the Emotion release

Run Away with Me, E.MO.TION, Gimmie Love, All That, Making The Most of the Night, Warm Blood and When I Needed You are some of the best pop songs of 2015.

Honestly Warm Blood is almost better than a couple of songs on 1989. And this is coming form a huge 1989 stan.
