SLUT 9
Adele definitely puts songs together in a way that make the listener relate and all and she plays on her own hype and image, all of this at least for 25, I believe 21 was crafted honestly. Adele's music is just boring to great levels, I never personally understood how anyone could stan for her as all her songs bar-Skyfall are nice or interesting (and even Skyfall is as described in the OP, carefully manufactured in a way to get to people's heads). She's uninteresting but really smart and played her cards right. People are buying 25 just because 'everyone else is buying it' otherwise it would have flopped HARD if it had been released by anyone else.
ItsTommyBitch 12,640
Thats like literally the point of Pop music though 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
Azor Ahai 18,861
I don't understand what you're talking about at all. She had 4 years to make a catchy album and all she did was create a good, catchy lead single. The rest of the album is basically a remix of 21, only less catchy and much less interesting. pie-kun 1,765
" Breakups. We’ve all been through them, so we can all relate. When the song plays, you’re not actually thinking of Adele, you’re thinking about your own life. The song becomes a part of you. Pair that with simple rhyme that anyone can easily memorize, “Hello from the other side, I must’ve called a thousand times”, and you’re pretty much screwed, you’re gonna have that song stuck in your head forever." Huh? As a songwriter, your goal is to capture feelings in a way that is not only personal, but relatable to the listener as well. How in the world do you spin the fact that the song is relatable or as a simple, easy-to-remember melody as a BAD thing? So according to the author, to be a "real singer" you have to sing songs whose lyrics are not memorable or relatable and have complex, unmemorable melodies? No wonder Adele is one of the biggest stars in the world and this guy is working for some generic clickbait site.
PaperIz 7,308
Adele is basic but she's good at what she does and is super successful. Also she sings so she's a singer Human generated art
FFXSoul91 1,092
Uh... Pretty much all pop music is manipulative.
VenusBlackStar 1,301
Hunty I think you just described what makes a good pop song But you don't really talk about her actual singing ability and technique, so why is your thread based on that? EDIT; LOLZ oh you didn't write this article. Still though I question this author's writing lol

Someone asks you to write a bond theme song, so you just take the classic bond theme, slow it down, and add some crappy lyrics. Yes, The lyrics are crappy: Let the sky fall – When it crumbles – We will stand tall – Face it all together – At Skyfall – That Skyfall So basically “Let the sky fall, at Skyfall … THAT Skyfall”. Seriously? Bitch please EXCUSE you but leave Skyfall alone and please take several seats. It's a spectacular song. What's even crazier though it's that whoever wrote this, took some amazing things an artist can do presenting them as cons. When an artist makes you relate to their song in a way you entirely find yourself in it, they're really talented. Not everyone can do that. Plus, if Adele chooses to base her music on raw emotions, it's her business again. Whatever she's been doing, is apparently genius. Leave Adele alone. djBuffoon 12,003
What even is the point of this article? The songs are unavoidably catchy. That said, I'll take this opportunity to say that 25, while decent, cannot hold a candle to 21, musically or sonically. Massive sales notwithstanding, I don't think it's anything special or noteworthy.
